http://www.naplesmotorsports.com/inventory.htm Scroll down to 1999 456 M GT 6 speed (barchetta red) If anyone has knowledge of this car or the dealership, I'd appreciate the insight. Also, any input on reliable PPI shops in the area? TIA!
I was there the other day looking at something else. Didn't look at this one, however. Search that vendor's name on this and the other major high-end car sites for reputation.
They have been around for a while and usually have a fair selection of high end cars. If you need a PPI there is a very reputable shop just a couple of blocks away that I can recommend out of personal experience. The car looks very nice in the pictures, by the way.
The car looks great. I have known Todd for a long time. He and his partner Rob have built a really great business down there. They are straight shooters and I would not hesitate to plunk money down with them. Todd will shoot you straight, ask for him he is a great guy.
Nice car, beautiful interior. Only one black fob, would need to clone more or get a new set ($525), as long as the original PIN is still there (ask). High asking price. Good 360s and 550s are available for that much money and good 575Ms have sold for $10-15K more. That price is only a starting point, however. Taz Terry Phillips
how many 456mgt's are there in the usa?? 489 is the total number of LHD 456mgt's ever made. the usa maybe has 100 of them.......price will reflect that, and condition of course. vs the number of 550's and 360's??? thousands...
I can't get past the interior. Don't care for the tan dash and wheel, or the red piping for that matter.
This is it......that a HUGE 'ask' for a 456 but this is a pretty rare car and looks to be in excellent shape... Appearances on the Internet can be deceiving....LOL! It's definately a good buy at $50K..... No really if that's what you are looking for, see what they'l take......
Alan- It is still a 2+2 and there are not a lot of 2+2 collector cars, regardless of small numbers built. No reason why there are not, but unfortunately true. Taz Terry Phillips
I know..I just WANT one! LOL! I think those Daytona seats in the color shown are really nice. I can't see a bolster scuff, in any of the photos.......
its true. but the low production numbers are what has brought this model to parity with the 550 and the 360 at this point in time. my guess is that the 456mgt starts outpacing the other 2 from here on, certainly vs the 360.
Alan- Fiberglass and platinum, probably. Ross- If I had a three car garage, I would like one too. Larger wheels (NF-2s?) and it looks even better. Way prettier than a 612 to me. Even if this 456 is modified a bit. Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rats...."steel and bent up a little bit"..... I'll keep getting up in the morning and going to work, then.
Great Store & people , I bought my 01' Aston Martin DB7 from them sight unseen , took great care of me even after the sale ! Needed a few items & they were happy to re imburse me a month later . Ask for Todd
That is a great looking example. About the black one above...are the fixed headlights factory? What years did those come in? Also loving the Superamerica at Naples.
Terry, I thought we had determined that they were done by Novitec as a "one-off" for a specific customer. I, like most of the 456 owners on this board, would give my left nut for a pair of those headlight covers.
Tex- Sounds very plausible, but that is the first I have heard that was confirmed. The other mods (diffuser, skirts, spoiler etc) look like something Novitec would do and we know the wheels are 19" NF2s. Those headlights do not look like they would be that hard to do if someone really wanted them, but the first pair would likely be expensive. An aluminum or fiberglass bucket and a plexi or lexan cover with lights and adjustable fixtures adapted from a 550/575M (or car with cheaper parts ). Taz Terry Phillips
There's a 'Vette in my complex that has those as aftermarket..... I'll ask him, probably J.C. Whitney..... I'm gonna call and see if they'll finance it, around my ID theft.....there's "Good Alan" and then in one of my old apartments there's "Bad Alan".....LOL! The Ducati ST3 wouldn't go thru.......
Source? According to http://www.456gt.com/Ferrari/numbers.htm there are: 30 RHD M GT 658 LHD M GT 136 RHD M GTA 514 LHD M GTA
when i lived in london, the uk dealer told me there were a total of something like 128 RHD 456mgt's in the world (uk, saf, japan etc) and 489 LHD, so total of 617. so we are missing 71 cars between our 2 figures. whatever it is...the numbers are not big...
