I spent some time in my youth loading tri level railcars. You don't know what a good time is until your driving a brand new car for the first time. Over winter ice and sleet covered alluminim car ramps. Drivers door open to making sure your tires don't jump the ramps and drop you 40 ft. Assuming you and the car survive the almost 90 degree climb to the top of the ramp. You better make sure you have enough power to the wheels to keep you from rolling backwards. Too much power to the tires creates a situation in which you end up driving off the top of a railcar. Add a little sleet snow and ice to the mixture.....
Although most railcars do come with welded steel plates in place for just this reason. Most are broken and in need of maintainance. I saw an NFG do a swan dive off the third deck within half a day of being hired. It was called on the job training.

I notice nobody shows a closeup of the truck company logo.
    Anyone recognize it?
Will the trucking company cover this, or will this be another three way insurance pointing circle?

Unless the circumstances are not self-explanatory (i.e., what we see in the pictures isn't the cause of the situation), the trucking company eats it.

The trucking company that didn't strap this car down properly had to pay the cost of the car after the insurance company totaled it:

Funny how it appears that the dealer parks some suvs around it in an attempt to block it from street view. Why else would the suvs be parked so close to the hauler and Ferrari.

    SHADYYYYYY!!!!

Somehow someway, you know an unlucky buyer is going to end up with that car without full disclosure.
If the trucker turned on those emergency flashers before the drop, he certainly could not have predicted how apropos the move was.

From what I've gathered so far...

This was not operator error. The ramp broke in the off load process. The driver is hurt and recovering in the hospital.

I don't know how bad he is hurt.
The carrier is respected and repeated used by FoNE due to proffesionalism.

Please curtail the speculation until facts are available.

Well, the car in the first link is Blue, and the car on the tow truck is Red, the second link is for a coupe :p

So I guess they didn't post the car on the site before this happened?

Don't those ramps fold out? It didn't just shear off. Bolts came loose or broke? It doesn't exactly look like one of those spanking new Reliable trucks you see all over the place. It appears the trucking company didn't maintain their equipment well enough. Something to think about the next time you go for the low price option from that trucking company you've called around on. May not be the case here but you either pay or you pay. In this case someone is going to really pay.

To clarify things, I have no relation at all to the seller, nor do I have any information on the car. I am just posting what I found, as other people may be interested in seeing the result of the incident. My comments were just observations and my own personal thoughts.

The real test of a transporter company is how they respond when things do go wrong.

Any transporter can do a good job if all goes well. But the things to look for are whether the company tries to 'make it right" when something like this happens, or whether they try to duck out and leave it to the car owner's insurance.

Car got totalled. Insurance adjusters don't do that to a new car for no reason.

    It landed on the transmission.

    Call Monte Hall.
