    Thanks mate!!

I have to say I was underwhelmed by the exhaust note, or lack there of. It really sounded BMW when I was expecting fighter jet. Still so very cool to see it, and in motion too. Such an icon, epic!!

Fantastic photos James. For a small country NZ certainly has a very good collection of classic historic cars.

I love watching all the F5000's that come over here each year. PI isn't that far away.

Maybe the case Moretts, but at a normal field of around 25 that come to the Island, around 70% come over from NZ. :D Bobby will be able to confirm that.

Thanks mate, there are a number of overseas visitors for this event but it really is amazing how many of these rare classic historic cars are local....

that POS is sadly typical of 80% of the historic racing grids in NSW. The problem is that 80% of the old farts who run historic racing have cars like this and won't make way for smaller fields of better cars.

The quality of the field pictured here in NZ walks away from events in Sydney.

I wish. According to a recent HSRCA magazine, the average age of the membership is 72.

On the one hand its great to see older people still enjoying their racing, but on the other not many spectators are interested in spending a day watching 20 races between Wolseleys and Model T Fords and 2 races with F1/F5000 cars. The ratio should be the other way around.
