SJMT that is an 01 not an 02. in 02 they did a facelift on the couples which changed the exterior clear corners to inside of the headlight housing. I also have an 01 that I love to drive. its plenty fast enough to get on the highway and gets pretty good mileage.
I just sold my Porsche Cayenne S and I'm giving an "old school" 80's 911 Carrera a shot as a daily driver. I was getting tired of the electronic hoopla and expensive repairs of the free-falling (depreciation-wise) Cayenne. So far, I'm having fun fiddling with the heater cable levers of the air-cooled car and grinning as I hear the nostalgic air-cooled Porsche engine swoosh on my way to the office. I do feel more connected to the car than the Pepper and I have yet to miss the heated seats. We'll see...
VERY COOL! Keep up posted. I was playing around with the same idea. PS for the sake of thread relevance my DD is an '02 Mini Cooper S
Right now I have an 03 Boxster S that's for sale and the wife has an 07 BMW 525i. I like to have a German household, though an Italian might come into the mix before too long.
I had a 1980 633 that had 250k on it until my insurance company totaled it out after a massive hail storm. That was a solid bimmer.
2010 Nissan Altima S... Black on black interior, limo tinted windows, 6000K HIDs, and a JL Audio sound system with a Kenwood Excelon head unit. I plan on getting some 19" OEM Maxima wheels, a rear lip spoiler, and maybe some turn signal mirrors.
I concur with the honourable gentleman. At the very least, ditch the chrome alloys and other shiny stick-on bits.
Damn edit time period caught me so I must repost. God willing this will be one of my daily drivers come May;
Ok, just joined up, but I'll play along... Daily driver is a '98 740iL with 180k on it. I've had it for 3 1/2 years now, and it's been very inexpensive to own, as far as repairs go (mods are a different story...) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My 1998 TDi Defender. Surprisingly enough, wonderful for daily commuting- as it scares most road ragers right away.
Great car! Love that series and those wheels look great on it! One of my all time favorite designs. 2010 Genesis Coupe for me. Got over 12,000 miles -- No rattles, squeaks, CELs or Tire Pressure lights. Been perfect. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice, I went to go test drive one, they had about 20 on the freakin' lot, and they wouldn't let me take one out. I wasn't going to buy, I wanted to drive it and see how it was, and I look young, so they figured I was just going to beat on it. In reality, I wanted a Genesis coupe or a Pontiac G8, but then I got my Honda, so I no longer needed a car
The GC's are awesome. I used to sell Hyundai's back in High School and had a chance to take one out and was rather impressed by what they were able to do.
