Measure it, if it isn't the same width as a Panerai strap you can still get a very good strap for it or have one of the people that make aftermarket straps for Panerai make one in the size it needs. watchstyle.com has good stuff, also look here: http://www.paneristi.com/straps/index.html

WOW! That's so funny! Did I tell you about the guy who was trying to convince his wife to let him buy that very same car??? Well, he couldn't manage to get the big "Yes" out of her...

Poor dude, seems as though his balls were in her fake purse!

It finally arrived. I am majorly disappointed. I expected some compromises (after all the original was $150k and this one was $79), but it doesn't match the photo on a detail level - and the power meters do not function as they should (they do turn while charging, but do not stop at 100%). The $35 shipping was also disappointing... promised 7 days, but more like 20. To top it off, I woke up to a stopped watch this morning (after the power meter registering like 1000%). Seems this automatic cannot store more than 4 hours of energy? :(

This purchase was not through Watch Eden. I am tempted to get one from them now... but am also gun shy after this experience.

You must purchase reps ONLY from trusted dealers (look at my earlier threads in this email warning of this). What website did you buy from? When it comes to reps, you have to know where to buy from (rep forums will tell you becasue they work with them), the experience is night and day. Buy from Watch Eden with confidence, don't let this learning experience dampen you. If the watch is not what you ordered and doesn't work, email them and see what they say to help you (the good ones will email you right back to help you if something is awry. If they don't get back to you do a credit card reversal, you'll get your money back. Good luck.

Join the forums at repgeek and read some of the threads in the collector section. You'll see dealers that people rave about and others that people rant about. There are a couple of one-man show dealers who get excellent reviews and they ship from within CONUSA so no customs worries. Almost all of the others are drop-shippers who never actually see the watch you are getting so no QC.

Just got a Patek today from watch eden, still waiting for the Daytona which I ordered first...go figure.

My opinion of it is that it is amazingly nice. Don't get me wrong, it's not the same quality as the original, but it didn't cost $36K either :)

That doesn't sound right, how many days apart did you order the two watches?

Glad you like the Patek! Hope your Daytona comes soon.

I am having trouble getting payment to clear through (standard US mastercard) to WatchEden. Anyone else have this problem?

It always seems that way for me with my MC, it says payment "failed". But it doesn't, it's a syntax error that shouldn't be coming up. Email Sarah at Watcheden (from their site) and ask if they rec'd your payment, Each of the 4 times I bought from this this past season, has said that after everything was entered. She always replys the next morning saying, "yes we rec'd your payment, will let you know when it ships". Give that a try, let us know how it goes. They have excellent communications.

I got the Daytona today. I'm amazed with it. It is hard to tell between it and my real ones.

The people at watcheden were very quick to email me back about the questions I had about why I hadn't received it yet, and I'm just all around impressed with these watches and their customer support.

That's good to hear, I just ordered a Panerai and a Richard Mille and the same thing happened to me with a visa. I'll email them today or tomorrow if I don't see the payment come out of my checking account.

I'm really eager to compare the rep to my real Panerai.

On a different note, I just got an email from the ctvpay service saying my payment was declined by the acquiring bank. Has this happened to anyone and if so, does it mean my bank wouldn't pay or their bank wouldn't accept??

    Thanks.

Not sure on that one joker- I'ver heard a lot of CC companys are declining anything that might seem fraudulent. You have to call them up to "okay" the charges in these cases. Call up your credit card company and ask them, they will tell you what happened. Good luck.

P.S. I see you're in the Milwaukee area too, at least this winter has been much better than the last 2 we've had, huh?

I confirmed it was my CC company that declined the payment so I think I have it all straightened out now. What is usual delivery timeline??

As for the weather, yes, this year is a down right toasty compared to last.

I've been lurking on this thread for awhile and decided to give them a try. I beat the living hell out of my watches at work everyday and recently decided it was a waste to wear anything nice. I've been using cheapos from Target but I never could find a good looking watch to abuse without spending $$$.

If my Bell & Ross from WatchEden is halfway decent I'll be more than pleased. They say it's already shipped so I'll give the low down when it arrives.
