Ok, so right now there's the Rosso Barchetta car at Naples Motorsports.

But since August 2008, there have been like 2 M 6-speeds on the market from which to choose.

    Where are they??

Gosh, I remember 2004-2007 seeing so many of them around. Ha, but I wasn't in the market for one then :)

Ferrari of Houston had one on consignment in 2009 and no deals developed...

A beautiful red (standard) over black 6 speed....I wanted it myself but you "play on through"...

    Ask for "Joe"....

EdiT: I'm sorry it was not an "M"......but it wasn't $80k either!

    Nice find!

A horse of a different color!

At $80K also. Like the Florida car.

Seems like a lot of them were green. I don't remember a glut of manuals ever.

First 456 I ever saw was green/tan, but it was an auto. Still an awfully nice introduction to the 456 and I eventually bought a 98 in titanio/nero, which was a fairly common combo IIRC.

If the price was right on the Park Place car I might be tempted - not a huge fan of the V-12s in red. But I agree that 80 is a little rich for either of those cars.

like i said in the naples thread....not many built, and not too many in the usa since that was the market demanding the automatics...
so i bet there are less than 150 of them stateside

I agree. I had been looking for one for years. I finally came across my 2000 456M manual
in Grigio titanio and tan and black interior with 10,000 miles last year and jumped on it despite the 80,000$ price tag.
Have not regretted it. There are not too many of these floating around out there.

There's a nice new one on eBay today... Looks great for sure.

RE: value- I'm so impressed with my M-GT that even at $80k for a great one it's a sweet deal for a rare bird.

Saw a Euro 550 in metallic green with tan interior today and it looked really good except for Chinese wheels. Although not everybody's first choice, green looks good on some cars. Just think of all those Jaguars and Corvettes in BRG. Bid on a BRG C4 Vette myself, but too much money.

That car looks to be the one to have. Not too different than my silver/sabbia.

A very sophisticated and elegant car that you will love to own for many years.

    #101643 (burgundy/red) in Cupertino, CA?

Interesting... I believe #101643 was Nick Cage's car. Orig. black, modified with custom green paint. Sold Nov. 15, 2007 - $53K.

I wonder why they re-painted it red? Resale red?

That Park Place one is beautiful <sigh> outta my price range though...

It didn't sell. I made him an offer and didn't hear anything back. I made what I thought was a generous offer, especially in this market. If he's not interested in selling it for close to his listing price, then he must know something that I don't.

Really? What have I posted that is not accurate? Do you have insight into what I offered him? I have it in writing in an e-mail. I also offered market money for the car. The least one could do is give a polite "no thank-you". It's not like I offered him $50K for the car.

Here's a bit more information that is accurate. It needs a belt service and all fluids. That alone is a few thousand in value off the top.

It's a very nice car. It's not worth $70+ thousand in this market, which is what it seems he thinks the car is worth.

To *you* it's not worth the $70+ thousand.

To the market, it's worth whatever someone will pay. Someone else is getting the car because he paid more.
