Generally, the less said, the better. Let the lawyers and evidence do the talking in court and don't litigate it in the public realm. But, OTOH, it's a public service to disclose the bad deeds of others, so as to prevent innocent third parties from being victimized in the future. Forewarned is forearmed. CW
Bravo, Wax! You could not be more on the mark. Sometimes clients end up being their own worst enemies. I can't tell you how many times I've told clients "keep your trap shut and don't talk about the case with ANYONE." And, of course, they go around shooting their mouths off, and invariably it comes back to bite them on the bottom. To which I get to say "I told you so." But that doesn't help much once the cat is out of the bag, as the old cliche goes. You gave him fair warning and good advice. If he doesn't want to take it, it's his problem, not yours. Don't ban him. Let him learn the lesson the hard way, as he seems not to appreciate the value of what you have told him.
How many attorneys have to advise him, free of charge, to be quiet. It may be to his best interest to retain some legal representation. I'll never understand how some people just like to kick themseves in the pecans.
I just bought a car from FoFL and I must say they were the best of any of the Ferrari dealers(3) I have bought cars from over the last 5 years (6 cars)
Can't say precisely how many threads or posts I've had to edit the crap out of, edit or delete because of this problem. Almost invariably, here's how above summation has transpired; A] I'll advise Chatty Cathy privately and/or publicly [if they're really thick] to keep it quiet for obvious reasons. B] Chatty Cathy will admonish me privately *and" publicly to stay the hell out of it. C] Attorney will advise Chatty Cathy to have posts deleted. D] Chatty Cathy will privately request I delete posts. E] I'll privately confirm deletion to Chatty Cathy, without further comment. F] Chatty Cathy will privately and/or publicly respond with smarmy comment.
