Has/can anyone please post a few pictures of the leather roof ratchet/tool case found on the 355 spiders. Along with measurements if thats possible:)
This case is found by the hand brake unit. The more detailed the better please, including details of how this box is fitted. Not all 355 spiders are sold with them in place, mine wasnt when i bought it. My trimmer says he can make one with the right pictures and dimensions. Its only a simple box afterall. Can/will any one help me out on this? Thanks.

I have one of these cases in my 98 355F1 GTS, but it's empty.

Does anyone know what should have been in there?

It should contain everything shown in kheim's detailed photos plus a pair of white cotton gloves.

I have an extra set that includes every thing but the gloves. It's an original in black leather.

If you are interested let me know.

Why would this be in a GTS? The kit is to raise the Spider convertible top in case of motor malfunction. Too much vino at lunch for some factory guy? :)

I have some of this stuff, even the white gloves. I don't remember seening any instructions in the owners manual on how to manually drop the top. If you know where to find this - what page is it on? I have a 95 spider. Does anyone know what the long bolt is for in
    this proceedure?

    thanks
    Mike

Agreed. I have within the hour shown my trimmer the pictures Kris provided. And this box will be absolutely no problem to reproduce if eyboro and my self dont come to a satisfactory agreement to buy his.
Thanks to all who contributed to this thread. I am sure others will find this information valuable once stored in the archives. :)

    Hey Mike,

Attached, from my '97 F355 Spider Manual.
Print a copy and keep with your top tools (so you won't have to hunt for it when you need it).

This info is NOT in the 1995 owners manual! It is in the later manuals, so this post is very helpful to everyone with a 1995 Spider.
