What is the presumed average life of CCBs? My understanding is that they last A LOT longer than standard brakes. Is it advised to convert them out to iron for track use as the replacement costs are about 16k?

After a complete and throught cleaning of the barrel, the CCB (Cold Clean Barrel) becomes fouled as the first shot is fired. So the life of a CCB is that one shot, however for best accuracy one should run at least three shots down the barrel so the fouling stabilizes ....

Acronyms--the bain of understanding world wide.
