The title is tongue in cheek of course. There's nothing 'good' about the stock manifolds.

E is a fine looking piece of tubing!!!
Looks like it almost melted and dripped out of the heat shield!

I had no idea that the pipes could get so bad. A and E are mind boggling. I'd love to know what type of damage was caused to the owner's engine.

    wow...

So this is one extreme...what's the limit for a QV rebuild? Where do they draw the line and say it can't be effectively rebuilt?

Yes. From a single set of headers.

I wanted to make some wind chimes from these pieces, but Mike (Ricambi South) told me to toss them in the dumpster. They're gone.

MMMMhhh.. I think As soon as I get my hands on the car the cats are going through the window.

I´ve always had problems with high powered cars and cats. In fact my evo IX has gone through 6 sets of cats. Mitsubishi paid so no problem but when the sixth one screwed I just decatted the it

couldnt that be from the engine running on the lean, overly rich, poor timing, bad valve, weak valve spring (exhaust side), cam timing/duration or consistant engine revving to high RPM while stationary?!?

Amazing, when I first looked at the images I thought I was looking at radiator hoses that had been exposed to a fire.

They look just like melted rubber.

I'm going to be "un-heatshielding" my right hand OEM header, with 35,000 miles on it, this weekend. I'm hoping it looks as nice as the left hand one did but....... who knows. I'll post photos - good or bad.

    Jay,
my understanding is they can fix them all, because all the save is the mounting flange, collector and heatshields. They replace all the tubing and CO test ports.
