Do you know of any vintage (maybe even up to Boxers..) that are owned and located in "exotic" countries ? By Exotic i mean not what we know as the usual Ferrari markets ( US, West Europe and Japan ).

Any SWB in south America ? 275 in Korea or Russia ?

These markets are booming for new Ferraris but im sure collectors in these markets also lust after the same Ferraris we do.

Loved the Boxer in Botswana; there are quite a few avid car collectors there.

We also had a few 275's before they were exported and there are perhaps a handful of Daytona's left.

Do you know if the Daytona Spyder is the Sultan of Bruni old black car, i read in the Singapore section that a friend of someone's from N.Z. had bought a whole bunch of cars from the Sultan and one of them was a RHD Daytona, so i am putting two and two together and probably making 3 but with any luck you might know for sure.
    Thanks

Most Chinese like the modern cars more then the old ones :) The oldest one I've seen in China was a 360 Modena, all the others beeing 612s, 599s, 430s and Californias. And there are quite a few of them :)
Apparently there are now 2 Enzos in Shanghai but they're not (yet) vintage.

Very few vintage Ferraris have made it to the Indian shore.

One of the first Ferraris to be documented in India was a 365 GTC owned by an Italian diplomat by the name of Dr Ross. At that time Indian car market consisted of only 3 models none having more than 35 hp! Less than 25,000 cars were annually sold in India during those times. He also owned a 365 GTB/4.
Another famous Ferrari was a 275 GTB bought by another Italian in Bombay Dr Cesare Rossi.
A Bangalore tycoon(Vijay Mallya- Force India) owns a 246 GT Dino which is in immaculate shape.
Another one is 365 2+2, which is in very bad condition these days and is on it's way for restoration.
There are reports of Mondial too lying around somewhere neglected (unconfirmed).

Unfortunately 275 and 365 GTC were shipped back.

Not quite a list but still :)..

Herbert Ros in India was the original owner of 275 GTB/C #09085. See also photo in the 1967 Ferrari Yearbook.

Yes, Rob van Zyl's car. Also a 250SWB, quite a few Daytona's (I can think of about 5 in Joburg off the top of my head), a couple of 365's and 330's quite a few 365 Boxers.

    Hello Dave,

    Good to 'see' you!

A swb? You're not talking about the obvious fake?

    Hi Onno,

Thanks for the heads up, but too rich for my blood. Besides, I'm busy buying another car.
Funny, I was walking exactly where the pics were taken in Hout Bay harbour a week ago.

Surprisingly, there are quite a few 365 Boxers in this country.

    How is yours coming along?

    Thank You Sir.
Can you please post an image of it.
I tried finding about it but couldn't find anything.
Also, do you have any details that where is this 275 now?

That 365BB belongs to a very good friend of mine - it is a lovely car. In fact I took that pic of the engine bay.

    Hi Jack,

I guess that's the one. I still think its a beautiful car, though I have heard mutterings that it is a fake. What chassis type is it based on? What engine?

    Hi Dave,

Others who have studied the car will have to chime in, I suspect it was a 250 GTE.
Although it will be a fun track-toy, if you have ever seen a proper swb you won't be fooled by it. It's really rather different.
