328 Fog/Driving Lights

Although I am in Canada, my car is Swiss. If these will work, I would order a pair as a set of spares.

Just FYI, US buyers

I just got off the phone with Fedex who was working on Customs clearance. Car lenses require a DOT approval form. It's a good thing that this is instead a "glass sculpture", and I have no intent to use it on my car.....

Just like the old "paperweights"

Got it?

 

Can't imagine why it would be a problem to send glass sculpture to the US???

Just to echo previous comments those sitting on the fence should make the leap. The only people who think these are expensive will be the ones who haven't tried to source them after breaking one (or two in my case), Trust me its a nightmare.

I've learned to jump on these little custom parts when they show up, because if I don't they certainly won't be here when I need them.

 

That's strange... I know of at least one place that sells e-code headlamps for the Saab 900 here in the States. They're a "proper" BMW, Saab, Volvo parts supplier (not some fly-by-night ebay guy).

I can't see there being a problem, from a legal standpoint, until they're mounted on a car that is being driven on U.S. public roads (and of course I don't have the superior e-code design headlamps on my car..... at least I can't recall installing them..... I think..... as far as I know....)

 

Got my pair yesterday, my wife says they look great. ( somehow this would sound better if switch around...) I haven't seen them yet as I am out of town.

Hi Mark,

I have a starburst chip in my right-hand lens. My car was first registered in France in November 1986 and so has yellow fog lights. I would like to retain this heritage, but don't know if the yellow colouring is in the lens or the reflective surface. Any thoughts? If all else fails, I may just replace both, although it sounds like a fairly intimidating process!

FYI, this is my car - I trust your lenses will fit:

If they only knew the time, money and fretting over the details. I am glad too see the product out and looking good. We need more people making unobtainium parts. I know it takes a huge risk up front, but it may be the only way to get some parts in the future. Again, you have a really nice product there.
