Okay, I am about to leave lurker/whiner mode and throw my hat into the ring to ORGANIZE a group project. If there is interest, I commit to seeing the project thru. Its up to the team.

I like all of you am interested in a fix for the inevitable header problem. Added performance is an added bonus, I just dont want to blow a header and blow my engine.

I have identified a custom header manufacturer in LA. (He already knows what these things are going for.)

My goal, with your interest, would be to organize a group purchase of a number of headers from this guy.

So let me first start off by asking if there is any initial interest in such a project!

Specs will be designed by the team. As it is our project, creativity is our only limitation. I would like to see a shielded product that mimics the appearance of the stockers, with better performance and better longevity, and since I'm dreaming outloud here.. how about better economics.

In the words of Jerry McGuire, "Who's with me?"

Have you ever applied for a running change cert called an EO...a daunting endeavour.
I suggest you spend a couple of days researching the details of a commercial mfg iyem which affects the "publics" smog.....you get it...
It may be nothing, it may be a paerwork morass of unimaginable confusuin!
There may be a milegae test requirement, including deterioration factors for decay...(CFR terms)...you should at least look, thhese projects are serious and merit serious comsidertion of ALL mitigating factors...
    good luck

by the way, doesn't TUBI already do this for???2400 a side?????its been 10 years 24 rings a distant bell

    UMM, I'm lost

    Why reinvent the wheel.

There are great aftermarket headers on the market already that met your criteria. Many of us have already switched over...

As a 348 owner, I'm interested in aftermarket headers, but I don't recall seeing anything other than custom one-offs. I may have just missed threads that have mentioned manufactured ones. If you're aware of any, please post for us 348 owners. Thanks :)

It might be tough to get momentum for this project, there are a few good proven solutions out there already. To differentiate from them any new product would either have to be cheaper or better. Cheaper in low volume (while maintaining quality) won't be easy to do, and better would have to be proven on a dyno which will be a big undertaking.
