    On iTunes I'm sure...

Ludacris will go down in history as one of the most talented rappers ever.

Actually yes. As a filmmaker I despise people who illegally download movies and music.

I am surprised to see Aesop mentioned with Biggie, Nas, and Jay-Z.. Not saying I don't like him, just a very different style from the others you have mentioned.

Okay so its been a while since i started this thread and I have now downloaded over 16 hours of hip hop and here are my top 5

    1) Rick Ross - I love how he uses 70s soul and I love how corny his lyrics are
    2) Ludacris - He is like the Motley Crue of Hip Hop - kinda cheesy but still cool
    3) Trick Daddy - I love the aggression of his stuff
    4) Jay Z - The Sinatra of hip hop - cant go wrong with him
    5) T.I. - A guilty pleasure

Honorable Mention - Bone Crusher, Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy

Havent heard it, will try to listen to it on youtube once my internets improves later on, lol.

Another good one is three 6 mafia - I'm riding spinners. The song just cracks me up for some reason everytime i listen to it....I can imagine myself sticking on some plastic spinners on a weak toyota pickup from the early '90s and blasting this song and stopping everywhere for no reason:D.

Unfortunately I can't find 'Ghetto Mindstate' on youtube. Only some poser trying to tarnish the name of DJ Screw and created a "Hazed & Chopped" version.

I'm sure it's elsewhere on the net though. It's off of his 'I Need Mine' album.

This is too easy, and not many people listen to the best.

    OJ DA JUICEMAN

    best songs include:

    Bustin Chickens Down
    Im Working
    The Flightest
    Posted At The Store
    Temper Tantrum

I love all his stuff cause it is real trap music. Most HipHop/Rap now a days is too fake to listen to. At least OJ is a real trapper.

Also like Gucci Man lately, check out Parking Lot-Gucci Man

i really didnt want to open this thread bc i was afraid of what i was going to read. but, i did it, and my worst fears were confirmed. ill just let Freddie Foxx aka bumpy knuckles say it, in regards to the state of "hip-hop" these days:

"there's a lot of clowns out here, with, you know painted faces...and when they take the paint off, its just clowns with no paint on their face."

    that is all

you can call it pretension if you wish. i disagree. I call it real talk. as a card-carrying hip-hop head i felt it was my duty to speak out. i owe it to hip-hop. this pointless synthy dribble that the mainstream calls hip-hop is a sham. unfortunately, the game went south a long, long, time ago. somewhere along the way we moved from critical thinking and the gathering of knowledge to a mockery of the english language, black cards, dubs, and silly aimless dances (super-soak that h0?!? huh?!?) . i could go on for hours, but i'm done ranting about it. i've made my point, so i'll move on and make a peace offering. enjoy:
