I saw Snoop last night at HoB at it was awesome! If you have a chance, go. I wish he played more than an hour but he packs so much into that hour including a tribute to 2Pac.

That "Bedrock" song seems to fit into the "club hip hop" genre if anyone's still interested.

I am tired of steriotyping due to music. When I drive and listen to hiphop with my windows down I become a drug dealer, a stoner, a prick, a public enemy, a murderer, a convict, an addict, I just become bad. I have been pulled over more times than I can count because of hiphop music. And when I where an LA fitted cap, there is no chance. Pathetic.

I use to get cops following me b/c of my truck. I mean slamming on their brakes and hauling ass to catch up to me, run my plates, only to be let down that they found my record to be squeaky clean and turn around again.

I hate the way Eminem raps on "Relapse." That stupid accent wasn't funny when he used for a few earlier songs, and it still isn't. Eminem's best album (and one of hip-hop's in general) is "The Marshall Mathers LP." That album is straight fire.

To the OP: You should really check out KiD CuDi's mixtape "A Kid Named Cudi" and his debut album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day." Personally, he is in my top three favorite hip-hop artists. His flow is unlike anything that's on the radio right now and every track is gold IMO.

I was just listening to 'Kill You' a few minutes ago. lol I love that album. His first 3 albums have been his best by far.

If you can find it, look around the net for a bootleg album called "Pyscho". There's a few songs on there that he blazes. Some of the stuff is just a collection of his "freestyles".

Dont get me wrong I love most of that and listened to it when it was new. I was one of the first kids on my block to get into Whodini and Grandmaster Flash. I was one fo the few long haired white boys listening to NWA and Public Enemy back in the day. Rap/hip hop and I go way back.

its just that I stopped listening to anything after around '97 and just recently discovered how much good stuff has been released over the past 5 years. IMO its really a golden era for fun club music...reminds me of the late 80s and the fun of Poison, Crue, etc

In my old age I have lost my passion for angry music. Be it Eminem, NWA, Slayer or Megadeth, I just dont listen to it that often anymore. I have no anger left in me. I cant relate.

but I still appreciate and respect it

Completly understand Jerry. I just can't take him seriously, no matter how bizarre his lyrics may be.

The "angry" music actually helps make me get happy when I'm down, surprisingly. As well as more upbeat music. I've never looked at rap in a angry sense, although the lyrics make it. I guess beats help make it seem happy to me.

I was given Relapse for free from a friend, listened to it once, and that was enough. It is by far his worst so far. I love some of the older Eminem songs where he was actually creative. Now it seems like every song he makes is pretty much the same.

The new Jay-Z album Blueprint 3 is really really good. I wasn't a fan of his until fairly recently.

Not quite "club" music, but good none the less is Jurrasic 5 and Zion I.

Then again my favorites are Apath, Celph Titled, Saigon, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks, etc..

If you really like Blueprint 3 you should check out the first Blueprint album. Now THAT is a great album.

Every song on that cd is 5 starred in my itunes

You're thinking about Brooklyns Finest. Great song.

D'Evils and Cashmere thoughts are my fav songs on that cd. I'm as much about the beat as i am lyrics. If a song has a great lyrics but a ****ty beat i'm not gonna listen and vice-versa
