Olympics – Your Favorite Winter Event?

    Figure skating is mine. I did it for several years when I lived in California, taking lessons, testing for badges, etc. Spent several days a week at the ice rink & couldn’t get enough.

    Have you participated in any of the winter sports to any extent?

    IMO the Olympics reflect one of mankind’s finest moments. I was at Montreal for 76 and was overwhelmed. You been to any?

    Went to a few events and the Opening Ceremony here in the summer of '84.

    Winterwise, I like the bobsledding, luge (still), downhill, ice skating and biathalon.

    Slalom and Giant Slalom. I raced for about 10 years. It was quite some time ago. Technology has changed and thus, the courses and athletes have changed as well. That being said... I like the new technologies.

    I love the olympics.

    i'm still hoping for barrel jumping but in this pc world i'm afraid we'll never see it in the olympics

    I like all of them really. I especially get into the stuff like curling, etc. because you only get to see it when the Olympics come around. I get frustrated at all of the figure skating coverage because instead of showing a medal event they will show skating practice or an exhibition.


    Btw. The Canadian womens hockey team is destroying the Slovakian team 18 to 0 last time I looked. WOW

    Cool! Where all did you race? Technology is amazing w/ the compression aero suits they wear now. Same w/ swimming & cycling. Power lifters have known the benefit of a suit for many years. Love wind tunnel technology in new slippery suits!
