My quest was not a ferrari per se, but an upgrade after every car. Toyota Supra in college (early 90s), totaled, got more than I paid for it. Upgraded to a porsche 944. Sold it a couple years later for what i bought it for. Upgraded to a c3 vette. Sold it for not as much loss as i could have and got an NSX. Kept the NSX for 6 years, and insurance paid me 500 less than I bought it for. Could have rolled that money into my 348, but decided to pay off the second mortgage on my rental property. had a trans am that I sold for 200 less than I bought it for after 3 years, and that was the down payment on the 348.

So to answer the question, 13 years after college, but the journey and upgrading has been just as much fun, so don't sweat the amount of time, enjoy the ride. :)

First Ferrari '94 348 Spider 11 years after college, I was 34. Sold it after two years and currently have a 355 Spider. Working on a 360.....however, just had a baby so may have the 355 a few more years and that ain't a bad thing. :D

I wish I was still back in College :D

I currently make as much as I ever will in my profession on a national scale. With 3 college degrees I'm good to go. Took my dad’s will to bump me over to the original purchase of a 328.

still in college and a ferrari is out of site for quite some time (going to have a nice fat load of debt to payoff first) then I'll likely go for a house get that paid for and as long as I own a car (hopefully what I have and am paying for now) I will spring for and pay cash for a ferrari with money to spare for maintenance

I didn't buy mine since it was a company car. I had a 91 Testarossa with a 91 911 at my disposal before I finished college. That job kept me from finishing college by putting off all of my personal priorities for the sake of $$$. In the end I ended up hating the job but I have always wanted to get a Testarossa of my own on my own. Thankfully I finished college soon after I parted from that job but I got married a few years after that and my wife made me buy a Mercedes instead :( Not a bad car but it ain't no Rossa!
When the kids are out of my house maybe I will get one.

I bought my first Ferrari (1978 308GTS) in 1993, 8 years after graduating college. I was 29 years old and in my glory the first day I drove the car in July/93, during our Calgary Stampede. I had always dreamed of owning a Ferrari and am fortunate to have owned 2 others since. I now have a 2001 F550 Barchetta which was always my dream car since they came out.

Over 30 years since college, I had a 328 for a short 3 months back in 1980 and couldn't afford it so traded it for a Corvette... bad move but at the time money was tight.

I now only have a poor man's Ferrari 'Fiat Spider 124' and it's just as fun albiet not a Ferrari... after my kids are out of college it's a 360/355 for me.

    Didn't go to college.

Bought a 360 7 or 8 years ago at age 31. Replaced it with a 430 a couple years ago.

I set a goal in high school to have one by age 30, but I missed it by a year.
