    Howdy boys I'm finally in the final stages of the rebuild just need a thermostat and O2 sensors. I did research and there seems to be some confusion although No Doubt might have the answers I need :).

    Thermostat- Looks like the Fiat x-19 thermostat will work but there was mention of the 91 Porsche 944 S2 thermostat working as well, I would prefer this to the Fiat as I own a 944 S2, you know keep it in the family. Opinions please.

    O2 sensors- Called Ricambi and after a mild heart attack and an hour chuckle I said I would look around $640.00 each, not a typo. And this is for the 2 wire kind lol. So again there are options and varied opinions so which one?

    I just replaced the O2 sensors on my 355 with Bosch units from here:

    There are two styles, one with the OE connector and one with a splice kit. I spoke with Bosch and the O2 sensor is identical on both so I went with the splice kit. It was easy to do and came out to less than $100 for both.

    Did my 348 with Bosch Universal O2's. You have to do a splice, but they work great. I think I paid $130.00 for both. Look in the parts interchange thread.

    I just clicked on the link, and they have it on sale for $34.59???? that is almost free as far as i am concerned...holy smokes what a deal

    Been wondering about your car. Great to hear you're close to having it back Roberto!!

    RE: O2 Sensors, I used these. They are direct plugin, and cost around $87 each IIRC. Been running them a year, with no problems. PS - Posted this info also in the 348 Parts/Intersource thread at the top of this forum. Great resource!

    Best of luck getting your car back on the road!! :)

    Happy to hear your "Bella" is coming back alive ! Did you replace the engine completely or ended up rebuilding the original one ?

    Yup.

    It's off a 1993 Volvo 850 (normally aspirated). $125, plug and play.

    Rick's find is a less expensive solution. $87 is hard to beat, and had I found these I probably would have used them myself.

    I was lucky enough to find a lower mileage engine so we replaced with partial rebuild and full 30k. I still have the original in case next owner wants to have it back to original but for now I cleaned it up and will be a display coffee table in my living room, don't worry I will post pics in due time:).

    Ok O2 sensor solved now what about the thermostat?
