I'm serioulsy looking at 308gt4s, including dstacy's. Problem is I haven't sat in one in 35 years. I'd love to see one up close again before I commit. Anyone take there's out in public? Gregg
There are a few around, but none of the owners are active in the local FCA. I really like them and wish they were at our events more often...they are much prettier than the Mondial 8 and Mondial QV in my book.
I think there may be one or two up there? I've seen some posts a few years ago but not recently. Mine was the only one around here for a long time. RTGT has had a couple in the last 5 years on consignment but the both sold. There is one more in the Portland area now, I have talked to the guy but have not actually seen it. If you are ever in the "couve" I'd be happy to show you mine! Cheers!
There is one from Pt Townsend that sometimes comes to events. He is in the club. There is the "white" car now in Olympia. Also there has been a nice one at Carlos recently.
There used to be a light blue one around Bremerton too but I haven't seen him in awhile and don't think he was ever very active in the community.
Gregg, If you're willing to make the trip down to Olympia, we'll go for a good spin in mine. (That's the aforementioned "white one in Olympia".) I'll admit, though, that mine is nowhere near as nice as Doug's up in Port Townshend. If you're interested, shoot me an email/PM -- we'll work out a time. Cheers, sam
Hey sammyb, nice to here your just up north of me (I'm in Ridgefield). Plan on coming south to any events this year? It would be nice to actually meet another GT4 owner in person! Cheers!
dstacys is very nice, I can't believe he's considering selling! I take mine out often, just nobody spots me , probably have it out this weekend, the weather looks good and my driveway should be dry enough! Cheers!
Thanks sammyb! Let me see if I can break free this weekend, the weather looks like it might cooperate. (I'll PM)
Who here had the red GT4 at Griot's Garage event last year? Only could have heard about the event on F-Chat, and local.... great guy - spent a lot of time yakking at the time. Jedi
...between this thread and the other GT4 thread going on I'm really getting excited about becoming a GT4 owner. (By now I've spent so much time watching GT4 YouTube videos it's the only honorable thing to do.) Thanks for the roll call!
Sorry, just learning the chat rules (and at my age!) This thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274552 was very comforting for a 6'-3" 210lb'r like me. I was stupid and let work get in the way of sammyb's kind offer--and on probabaly the last nice weekend until the 4th of July. I am still talking with dstacy, although I'm distracted by another car, a '75 euro GT4. If I don't make up my mind soon I'll probably miss both.
Anytime you want to go for a spin, it's fine with me. The car runs just fine in the rain -- it won't melt. (Although I'm probably going to try and get this oil leak fixed here in the next week or two.)
