    I am taking a client out to dinner tonight who is located in the Irvine/newport area. Any of you have good recommendations on where to eat. I am thinking either a steak house or seafood.

    Well, neither, but recommend Golden Truffle on 17th/Newport Blvd, or Onotrio (Italian) on Bristol.

    Landmark Steakhouse in Corona Del Mar has a killer filet mignon. Ruth's Cris on michelson and jamboree is not bad either.

    thanks for all your help. I went ahead and made reservations at Mastro's in Costa Mesa. You can't go wrong there!

    Mastro's Ocean Club (Newport Coast) is much better. Same steak, much better seafood selection and a great place to be seen and to look at the local talent
