It may not matter - but it is a Euro car.

I've been looking for a 6speed, with 20-25k miles. Seem to be finding them for 60-65k.

it probably has to do with the history of the car. there are several 360s going for that price around phx but since the car isn't in good condition they wont get it. other 360 that are in good condition and good history have gone for 90-100.

This one is a euro car, and has been on e-bay several times.
Note the B in the VIN where there is normally an A in the eighth spot.
There aren't many euro cars out there and they are steeply discounted from 'normal' cars.
Doug Demurro's excellent analysis of asking prices doesn't list a discount for euro cars, probably because there are so few of them, but I think it would be 20 to 25%.

If it was tan interior and a 6-speed...I bet it would be sold by now.

nothing wrong with a euro car.... condition and service history is what lacks in his vague attempt to sell the car.... sure enough he'll find a very enthusiastic first time ferrari buyer who doesnt know that history is absolutely critical.

with that in mind, 72k is a fair price for this car if all services up to date... id even push 80k if the car was ultra mint.

Would you say then that the worst case scenario is that there would be $30K in repairs and maintenance to be resolved? I say this considering $100K will get you a no stories car.

Side markers, epa stuff and change the speedo out to MPH. The thing that scares me about a Euro is that say it was bought in Europe with 40k miles and comes here and gets a new cluster. Its supposed to be documented but I am sure more often than not that paperwork is missing or easily changed. If the car comes here brand new however I wouldn't have an issue.

I don't think this car is a sign of anything- a euro f1 w/27K miles and suspect history....I wouldn't have considered that car in the $70s either- the biggest negative factor being it's a euro car.

i expect this on other forums, but its a little strange to me on a forum with a bunch of owners. There are definately examples of cheap cars on ebay, auctions, etc. But the cars that hit auctions and are actually looking to be sold on ebay are usually below average quality. You get what you pay for on these cars, and there is a lot of crap out there being represented as something nice.

I don't know this car; but what exactly is your source, for this statement?

I've not found the cars on eBay to be of lower quality. You just have to do your homework exactly as if you'd found the car ANYWHERE. Ebay has no stigmas for me, and it's just like any other advertisement.

AGREE 100%... buy from a solid seller who has been around for a while and with strong feedback and you should be half way home.. the other half is actually going in person to see the car and/or having an inspection company check it out.

Matt said "there are" examples of lower quality cars on Ebay, which is true. He didn't say they were all bad. Ebay has a large number of cars for sale, a large cross-section from the worst to the best.

I wasn't picking on this particular car, more the sentiment that anytime a car shows up on ebay lots of peole act like it sets a new low for the market of these cars. Sorry, I guess I was a little off topic. When I was looking for my 360, I looked at lots of cars that were advertised as nice, only to get up close and find that they weren't. I'm just sceptical of a lot of the fire sale price cars I see online.

...then again, I am biased as my 360 is currently foresale. Its priced less that a lot of the cars advertised, and I'm a reasonable person. If ebay's low end truely sets the market for these cars, then I'll save it for my son's 16th birthday instead of selling it. :)

    Good luck with your search!

I'm always surprised at people's feelings towards the Euro cars. I understand the statement regarding the odometer and where shananigans could happen. However the reat of the car is awesome. The lights are so little different that nobody even notices. No pre-cats to worry about and from what my tech told me they aren't finicky like the US cars and throwing CEL's all the time.

You have to believe that Ferrari didn't build junk cars for the Italian market and save all the good ones for the US. Seems like people forget that all Ferrari's are Euro cars, it just depends on what boat it came over on. I'll gladly take a Euro car again and put the 25% savings in the bank for my next F-car.

I bought a 360 f1 euro car a few month back. 03 with 12K. all service was done, paint was spotless. The car was less than the american but that was a bonus for me. there were 5 items changed for it to be leagal for the us. the only major items was adding a smog pump. the other items were minor. paperwork is what counts and make sure the conversion shop used ferrari parts and has a good rep.
