This is Bernhard van Lippe-Biesterfeld (Prince Bernhard) at the Ferrari factory in Maranello.
    Copyright unknown for me.

But what date? I beleive it's spring 1964, may be summer 1964. Does anybody knows exact date?

    Thank you

The 330 pictured is s/n 5957, bought by Dutchman John Loudon of Shell fame. He collected the car himself together with his nephew and wife and had a chauffeur bring them back to The Netherlands, where it was registered on Dutch plates 'FA-73-24' on July 13th 1965.

Agnelli, Bernhard and Loudon were friends (Loudon was married to Dutch Royalty). Take a guess when this picture was taken when you now know that Loudon collected the car at the factory in July 1965...

So, it's 1965 not 1964. Thank you for info.

I just found this image. This is 500 Superfast s/n 6267, also known as 500 Superfast Speciale. First owner was Bernhard. Picture is signed by Aldo Brovarone. Does anybody knows when Mr. Brovarone drawn this??

So he, his wife, his nephew, and the chauffeur all drove in the 330 from Maranello to the Netherlands? Am I the only one who thinks that sounds rather crowded?

That date sounds right. According to the build sheet for 5957:
engine completed on May 20, 1964
dyno testing completed on May 21, 1964
transmission completed on May 21, 1964
differential completed on May 16, 1964
car completed on May 25, 1964.

So being fueled and out for a test drive on May 22 is possible.

However, I don't understand the delay of a year from car completion to Dutch registration. Ferrari did not let cars sit around unsold.

The rear seats of a 330GT are large enough for adults. I am 6' and fit without having my knees or head hit. I'm not sure that I would be comfortable for a cross-Europe trip, but if the wife and nephew were smaller in stature, they would be fine for a long distance trip.

The next time you see my car at a NWRFCA event in Portland or Seattle, ask to sit in the rear and you will see.
