It's been 2 years now, so far mine has not leak nor give and sign of fuel odor. Very unlikely that this hose will deform, beside the nylon belted in the rubber for rigidity but the thickness of the rubber itself is about 3/16th which is pretty thick. So hows yours holding up?

It's a shame the fitting on the FP is a slip on/hose clamp type fitting - would be great to have a 90 degree threaded fitting on the tank side, and also a 90 degree fitting on the inlet of the FP with a teflon lined piece of good quality fuel hose in between.

I guess being that this particular hose is on the low pressure side of the FP then perhaps a leak might not cause an immediate fire....unlike hoses on the high pressure side higher up in the engine bay..... Good to have that fire extinguisher installed and ready in the cabin.

Yep, did the research on this one... I found the current recommended replacement from Bosch then bugged one of their US engineers for data on this product line. Turns out there is another pump with the exact spec and internals, but has a 14mm threaded input side. Bosch part number 0 580 254 979 (data sheet attached). Then you just get a 14mm to -8AN adapter.

I had Patrick at FerrParts order it for me so I'd get better pricing. I think he ordered a few more so they should still have them in stock.

On the tank side I pulled my feed assembly out and saw the internal filter (plastic) was rotted and broken. So I just took it off. Cut the nipple off the outside, bored it out and tapped it with a 3/8 pipe tap then got a 3/8 pipe to -8AN adapter fitting. I put a small filter external of the tank so it's easy to get to and clean/replace. I turned the whole assembly up 90 degrees so as not to have any of it exposed to debris coming up from under the car.

    Hope this helps,

    Rick

Although I have not tried yet, nipple to fit fuel tank is sold for Porshe racing parts.
    I found it at Pegasus.

Let me know when some of you tried.
The reason I have not tried yet is quite simple.
I could not find teflon hose over -6.
From accumlator to fileter I applied -6 teflon hose, though.

I found similar issues coming the other way. I was using -8AN and the smallest adapter I could find from 26x1.5 was -10AN. I know I could step it from -10 to -8 but I was trying to keep the package tight to the tank with my upturn. I just cut the nipple off and bored it out to use a 3/8 pipe tap. You could do the same and get a 3/8 pipe to male -6AN nipple.

I know Earl's makes both a 1/4 pipe and 3/8 pipe to -6AN. I'm not sure if there is enough material there for the 1/4 pipe to work....
