Recently sold my BB512, it has gone back to its original home country, the UK, to an enthusiast who bought it for his retired father. He has bought a beautiful car, and I hope it serves him as well as it has in my few years of ownership.
I will miss the Boxer, imo Ferrari's most beautiful design, but my take is life is short, and I try to experience what I can. My plan was to replace it with a Diablo 6.0, and that would have happened but the the owner of the car I was buying decided not to sell.
Then along comes the Ford GT, found out about it on the grapevine so to speak, it was not advertised. The GT40 is my all time favourite car, and a GT was a car I always wanted to have, but never imagined I could. The test drive relegated the Lambo to the back for me, what an awesome thing the GT is, very very powerful, fast, easy to drive, and feels so rigidly built. This car is also my perfect colour combo.....Tungsten without the stripe, one of only two in the country here, and just 1600 miles.
I am happy out, what you guys think?

Gadzooks Steve, You traded a Ferrari for a Ford!?!?!?!?!?
But that is one gorgeous Ford!

And I hate to say it because I love my Boxer, but that same trade has tickled through my mind from time to time. Like you, I've always admired the GT-40, and the Ford GT is about as close as I'll ever get to owning one.

So let's hear some driving impressions when you get a few miles on it.

    Great move and Congratulations!

    John

Awesome choice, I have the pleasure of working on FordGT's here at the Ford dealer. The last one I PDI'ed was written off 400 miles later by the owner though. White with stripe delete is my fav though.

Hi Steve, I saw your GT on Sunday and all I can say is that it's an absolute stunner. Drop dead gorgeous, both inside and out.

Good to hear you're happy with the car, hopefully I'll see you around!

There's one at the Ford dealer here, in the Gulf livery...pretty!
I think the dealer bought it to display in Parts....

But I like your colors better, for everyday!

I think you'll find the Parts Counter a little more friendly with the 5.0L engine!!! LOL!

    Have fun and drive safe!!!

    Congrats, good color!

I was taken aback when u switched over but then it's been a few years & you're right. Life is about experience. It'll be tough to have the Diablo after this :)

I can understand since when I did get my Ford GT, I sold my Lamborghini Countach 25
Anniversary, which I had purchased with 300 miles.
But the GT is an outstanding car and so good looking.
    So enjoy it!
I was fortunately able to recently purchase a 25 Anniversary, black on black,
which has 8 k miles; got the car in January, not driven since because of this horrible
winter on the east cost and all this salt on the streets. However, spring is around the corner and the Countach will be on the road again

Beautiful car....If I HAD to get rid of my Ferrari for another Ford (already own two), then that would be the one I would go with as well.

Beautiful machine and agreed on the "gentle" parts counter just cant imagine trading the Ferrari for a Ford. However my wife has only owned Mustangs all her life till she met me so she has this desire to own a GT so I may get to see what all the hype is about one day.
