Been lurking here for a couple months getting educated, thanks for all the help to the relevant people. Flying to pick up a 2006 Gallardo 6 speed with 6000 miles on Thursday morning. Another toy on the pile now bring on summer. Color is a little bland for some here from what I read but I am ok with it, I got enough other toys that are way to loud figuratively and in actuality. Again thanks for all the help. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations! Color? Very cool and understated - the car makes all the statement it needs to - why scream it with the color? I LIKE IT!!! Have a GREAT Thursday Jedi
congrats on the car! i was just in burlington this past weekend. it was so nice up there i wish i brought my murc. i live in ri, but i have friends up there. hopefully we'll see you around.
I have a silver 2006 SE, and I think it is a great color for the Gallardo. Silver really brings out the lines and curves of the shape of the car. And don't worry if the color isn't loud, the engine/exhaust will be loud enough! I actually really like having the more subtle color, but believe me, nothing about the car is really subtle anyway. Congrats on the six speed stick too - that's what I have, and I love it. Enjoy the car! -- Gordie
You are going to love it! Some guys told me that mine in Rosso Mitas wasn't a good color. Fact is that I have had more comments, awards and fun in it than any car I've owned. Color is what the owner wants and likes. I have an Argento (silver) 355B and a silver 550SL. Great color!!! Congratulations.
I agree completely as my '07 Spyder is dark metallic silver (grigio proteus) and I get tons of compliments on the subtle color. But it has red and charcoal two toned interior to add a bit of splash to it though.
Subtle is good -- lots of yellow ones out there. Only drawback is that sat nav/audio unit is outdated, and if it has the same lousy iPod integration I have in my '08 Audi TT you'll want to swap it out.
It is very easy on the 06 SE to do a muffler bypass (the waste-gates fully open), so that the car sounds even louder. Sounds great this way. The 06 is the first year of G you can do this mod on.
Well it's home, 800 mile road trip, two countries, ton of gas, surprisingly no ticket just a stop to see the car, one night at Hotel De La Montagne in Montreal, two bottles of Kettle One, couple aspirines and no problems... Sweet car. Here is Ray when we crossed back into the US in Vermont. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome looking Gallardo! But looks like a toy compared to the size of that man. I have never seen a Gallardo look so small. Enjoy the car! Chris
Finally home with the rest of the silver kraut cars... Daily Merc and ma honey's Audi... Image Unavailable, Please Login
BEAUTIFUL, that's all I got to say, other than, I couldn't sleep at night with all the stuff hangin' on walls near the car!!!!
