Another Euro QV GTB

Nice, it's a Euro.

Look at the engine vent, split in two sides with no back part like US, which is U shaped. Also, it's not one of the 47 US vin GTB QVs. The US GTB QVs bracketing its VIN are
050229 and 050445.

Damn, this what I want. Anyone want to cut me a loan, I'm a bit short at the moment.

 

The Euro does not have the black painted (dont know the English word for this ) air intake things between the pop-up lights and above them, they should be red on a Euro. Unless somebody decided to paint them black...

 

...and the Euro does not have the red side lights behind the rear wheel (atleast not my Swedish -85 308 QV)

 

Probably painted black by a US owner the predered them that way (All US QV's had black vents, and so did the Magnum PI car so that was the fashion of the day).

The rear side markers are not factory euro, but would have been added to federalize the car when imported. All properly imported euro 308's will have had the larger US markers added.

 

So there is only 47 US GTB QVs out of 748 produced? I would have expected a lot more than 1/10 being delivered to US.

 

Hmmm... this has come up before. I thought it was somewhere around 100?

And is the date the date of import? I notice a few of the later ones would have been '86 models?

Someone on this board compiled it and I saved it because mine is on the list. I believe the date is the delivery date not the import date. Viper Driver's (red one pictured above) is on there too. Rare cars...

So which one in this list could be the Magnum PI car, I guess it must be in the list?

 

That's why the list is so short. Nobody wanted a GTB back them, they all wanted to be like Magnum.

 

Even after all these years Magnum is STILL cool!!!!

Ha ha...sorry for that stupid question, I must have been tired yesterday...of course the would be another, much longer list, for the GTS QV. I guess in Hawaii it wouldn´t make much sense with a GTB B-)
