Took one of my daughters to Supercross at Cowboy's Stadium last night and it was a hell of a show. Had not been to a Supercross race in 25 years and it is quite a spectacle now with fireworks, rock music and the Monster Energy and Spike TV girls. More like going to a Metalica concert than a race. My daughter loved it. The racing was not that good as the track looked tough to pass on so you just had a procession - kind of like F1. But the start was so slick that nearly every race had a big first turn pile-up. So getting a hole-shot was critical.

Anyway it was really good fun. And the stadium is incredible.

Stewart and Reed were fun to watch last year with all the dirty riding but I think Dungey will run with or away from Stewart next year. Stewart is a little bit of an all or crash rider and Reed doesn't look so good on the green bike...but he did post quickest times at Daytona practice. Reed was at the race Saturday and said he is planning to be on the line at Houston so we'll see how he shakes out. Later this year and next year should be good with Stewart, Reed, Vilopoto, Dungey and now Canard all running quick.

Yeah. I'm pretty surprised at how good Villopoto is doing on the 450 right off the bat.
James is pretty ridiculous. 99% of the time he is winning, or crashing. It's crazy how one lap 13 of a 20 lap moto he'll be about 4 or 5 seconds from 1st and by lap 15 he's got like 3 seconds on 2nd place. Being that James Stewart is my favorite rider, I strongly dislike Chad Reed but, man can ride! I think it will be really exciting to see all of them battling out in the big bike class. I went to the Daytona Supercross in '08 and HOLY ****. The mud on that track. Look at videos if you haven't seen it yet.
