I was at our local mall and wandered into a new collectibles shop I noticed. I wouldn't normally go into a shop like this, since most of what they seemed to have was things I'm entirely not interested in, like Pokemon cards and such. But I was just killing time so I said why not?

While in there I was casually looking at some Nascar Replicas they had, and noticed this little guy tucked away in the corner. I asked to see it, and upon inspection decided I wanted it. Its not in perfect shape, but obviously was somewhat older and was of decent detail and quality. So I then asked how much they wanted for it, and I was promptly told $12.50

I know its no BBR, but I think it was worth $12.

oh, sorry for the crappy pics, all I have on me is my iPhone right now.

The pics really don't do this car justice either. Its much better than it looks. I'll try and get better pics later.

I'm thinking so. The license plate gives it away. I have the same car, in yellow.

    Nice find.

I found a limited edition 1:18 hot wheels Michael Schumacher 5th World Championship model in a toy store for sale at £15 (@ $22) reduced, a few years back. The thing was, the model had just been released and I knew it cost @ £70 ( @ $105) everywhere else. I bought it and then asked if they knew much about it. Turned out they weren't aware of what it was worth, strange but true!.

Can you believe it? The die cast mechanic mounted the wheels wrong - just like in real life :):):)

    Cheers, Hank

Same here. Bought one many years ago at Toys R Us. When my daughter was little we collected Ferrari die cast. Got lots of them tucked away in the basement. Some day I'll get them out again.

    its a Maisto brand

I know its not anything special, but in a day when a decent model (think hot wheels elite or better) can cost $75-$300, I figured $12 wasnt bad.

also, I have seen the same model in a hard top version before, but I had yet to see the TS, which was another thing I liked about it.
