There's a steering-wheel that I have been trying to acquire for quite some time.

It's a Momo steering-wheel, originally found in the Alfa Romeo SZ Zagato & then later in the Honda NSX Type-S. I've even seen some online images of it on various Ferrari models (namely 348).

Anyone know how/where I can find one? I've kept an eye out for such on ebay, a few Alfa & Italian automotive enthusiast forums, and Yahoo! Japan Auctions.

I'd appreciate any leads, insights, or advice. Thanks, in-advance.

I am (pleasantly) shocked someone has replied, and better yet- w/ an actual offering. EGADS!!!

I am still on the prowl towards acquiring one, obviously if I can't source one Stateside in the near future, I'd be very much interested in yours (perhaps I may look into getting the leather re-covered/replaced here if even possible). I've purchased some items from the Netherlands via eBay in the past, so I'm aware of parcel costs / delivery time / etc'.

I sincerely appreciate your reply, and perhaps will be in touch in the future!

    :)
I will check if it can be 'repaired' with a good leather treatement, but I am afraid it is a little too dry already.

Send me an email if you can't find another one. It is not for sale at the moment so I will probably still have it in the next few months.

Good luck locating one in the states, these things are like hen's teeth :)

Hi Harry, the SZ forum is bit quiet lately.

Thanks for the update. I'll likely work out something w/ you for this. I'll email/msg. soon & we can take it from there.

There's an experienced/proficient custom leather re-covering service that I've used in the past, American Stitches. They are pricey, but their attention to detail is second-to-none. I'll have to see how much the steering-wheel, Int'l parcel costs, and re-covering service may all be to see if this project is still a "go". . .

Tell me about it! I come across a few off & on that are in Japan (Yahoo! Japan auctions), but the sellers are not keen to do Int'l shipping, not to mention it's rather challenging to communicate or get details/info' from sellers due to language barrier. Online webpage-translators are comedic, at best! :D

@Simon : I am working on it again. Putting new things on the website etc.
Some updates already and the SZ-season has started, so more will follow!

@Osiris : Allright. I will check steering wheel values, I don't want to make a million dollars on it :), but want normal market value. But that's difficult for such a rare piece?
How much were those in Japan and what was the condition?

But maybe you should answer this through email.
