I'm looking at a 95 348 Spyder, the owner says the vin is ZFFRG43A250098872. I tried this number on Carfax and Autofax, they both say it's an invalid number. Any idea of what is going on
A couple of the 00 after the A25 part may actually be O and not zeros at all. You have to experiment...
The VIN for a 95 would have the letter "S" after the "A2" and before the 00. That letter designates it as a MY95. It should not have a number there for any reason.
you are correct. i now hae the carfax report. thanks. The car in question is a 95 348 with 19,000 miles,. The report said it had 3 owners and the last one was Registered as commercial lease vehicle. Do i need to be concerned of this. There are no Ferrari Mechanic shops reported other than a battery replacement at Ferrari Fl.

The VIN In in post # 1 (after correcting the 5 to an S) matches the VIN in post # 6 so it looks like it is the same car.
I always get a bit of a chill up my spine when I see Miami or Pompano Beach on a carfax.. lots of cars with bad history seem to come back from there without a record of their sketchy past. Some shady crap goes on in South Florida
