Yup, I still have those wheels. They are P-zero corsas, really sticky (like crack, actually). Moving them over as soon as I have the time.

    No spacers, no rubbin'.

Woooh! I need to get a set!
Not to be mean, but, the 360 behind you (like my 355) looks kinda skimpy in comparison!

The stock 265/40 18 have an overall diameter of 26.3 inches with 790 revolutions per mile. A 315/30 18 has an overall diameter of 25.5 inches and 817 revolutions per mile. Depending on what size front you are running, it can actually have a larger diameter than the stock 225/40 18 tires. I believe the correct rim width for the 315 is 11 inches. It should be about 1 inch less than the tread width of the tire to give it the proper configuration and thus handling.

A potential problem with a smaller diameter rear tire is that it changes the attitude of the car, in other words, the front of the car is relatively higher than the rear. In the 355 this changes the dynamics of the air flow beneath the car creating an aero lift at high speed. The 355 is known for getting "light in the front end" at speed and this will exacerbate this situation. The smaller tire will also give a larger gap in the wheel well. If the rear is lower to compensate for this, the change in attitude is magnified.

Depending on how you drive your 355 none of this my matter in reality, however, I could be helpful if you are driving on the edge of its limits. Some awesome looking pictures.

    thanks for the compliments.

the front tires are 265/35/18 which have the same diameter as 225/40/18... (25.1")

the rear is 305/35/18 which have a 26.3" diameter. I have a set of 315/30/18 (25.6") I will be using this year.
