Here are some pictures of some of the cars that were at the Press Day last Thursday:

The theme of the 2010 Festival is “Viva Veloce! The Passion for Speed”, celebrating Italy’s passion for motor racing. Alfa Romeo will feature heavily as the marque reaches its centenary this year. Champions Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will both be present for McLaren as will reigning constructors’ champions Mercedes, and Ferrari, Red Bull and Williams will also have cars at this year’s Festival.

Goodwood promise “a gathering of cars and drivers that have shaped the history of motor sport’s most glamorous series” to mark the 60 anniversary of the first world championship.

World rally fans will get to see Sebastien Loeb and Ken Block in action, and Audi, Peugeot and Aston Martin will bring their LMP1 sports prototypes fresh from the Le Mans 24 Hours.

The event will also expand its non-motor racing side this year, with a new day of the event dedicated to the launch of new production cars. Manufacturers will run these cars up the hill on the Thursday before the event. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be reserved for the racing machines as usual. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is held on July 2nd-4th.

It seems to me the Dino SP is s/n 0790, the superb unrestored and 100 % original's one which had the ORIGINAL factory conversion large opening nose.

And now, restored back with a NEW nose !!

OK, 0790 was like that in 1961 and 1962 but what a pity to see a car unrestored between 1963-2010 now with a new nose !!

And what about s/n 0320AM shown here with Carrera Panamericana stickers #23 now the car has lost its "low nose" for a NEW replica PF original nose ??

    That hurts !!

From memory, I think in the early days when 0790 had the "Chitti" twin-nostril nose, it also wore "high-tail" rear bodywork.

Therefore, when returning 0790 to its original nose configuration, they should've also fabricated corresponding high-tail rear bodywork.

The 1961 cars both got new bodywork with long nose and low tail for 1962.

The driver of the 375MM knew he'd be shot at by "...Talibanistic Ferraristi for it not being 'right' " !

Please, suggest him to repaint his car in green colour, cut the roof to make the first convertible 340 MM, add bumpers or what you want, not to care about what people say...

Can you ask him to put the Le Mans numbers back on?
