I understand changing to coilovers is different. But is simply swapping in some H&R Sports or w/e ok also from a performance perspective?

I really don't care about the resale....these are big boy toys and if you have to worry about resale go play in a different sand box.

My 2005 F430 3 pedal coupe was 178K+ with options. If I had gotten paddles and CF brakes, it would have been close to 205K. Sounds like a similarly equipped 458 would be around 240K or about 17% increase over 5 years. Not bad for you 458 buyers.
Nevertheless, the base price is up about 35%.

However, I'd still have to give the dealer my 430 and a check for 150K plus taxes to get a 458. No thanks.

Amen to that. Tired of red tan all the time. I won't buy what someone else wants I will buy what I want then take it from there when it's time to sell.
