    Hello,
today is the day after long 5 years i drove the car out of the garage by its own and finaly without any exploding , breaking parts right on the first meters :) Everything is sealed fine no leaks it even shifts smooth :) only some minor problems occured like the new stock clutch engaged only at the last mm of the pedal way. The brake pump starts to pump after only 2-3 steps on the brake pedal. And my electronic throttle valve engages a bit to slow on low rpm wich makes it easy to stall the engine if the clutch is engaged to quickly. But idle rpm is at nice happy 1500rpm :)
But i'm just happy that this long project finally comes to an end. Next step is to get the first miles on the engine change the oil and put the pedal to the metal to setup the rest of the full throttle relevant mappings.
And thanks to those in this forum who helped me bringing that project to where it is now. Especially my gearbox helpers :)

awesome! what's the back story? why did it sit so long? Your clutch issues and idle don't sound good though....

Oh yeah.... Those wheels are SICK!!! Incredible actually!

Your brake issue doesn't sound too good either... possible ABS pump issue.

What is the electronic throttle valve? is that the idle control valve? try removing it and cleaning it with some carb cleaner. it may be sticky inside.

It took so long because i did an engine swap wich wasn't that easy to do. First my stock gearbox broke into pieces. Then the input shaft then my custom solid flywheel with AP racing 7,25" tripple disc clutch made problems. Also much problems to fit the engine to the gearbox and everything inside the engine bay.

The idle is no problem its like it should be because of the used cam profil the idle wouldn't be stable enough in lower rpm so 1500 is fine :)

The break pump sounds ok i think it maybe is a weak break pressure reservoir or however that thing is called in english.

No my engine has a complete electornic throttle valve it has no idle contrl valve because the Ecu controls the idle by opening the throttle valve. But like i said it is supposed to be 1500rpm target idle so that is fine. Ok the neighbours starred at the car and yelled over "oh is it damaged it sounds so rough" :)

Looks like the Opel symbol; circle with a stretched out Z, or small lightning bolt.

If the gearbox hold longer than last time it will go well ;) Ok i removed the week points of the gearbox and put the stock flywheel back i think positive that it will work now. If not hewland builds strong gearboxes wich will fit into the 348/355. That would be the last option. But it will work now ..... it must don't like the idea to spent more time on it without driving it sometime.

The Wheels are Elias wheels or better known as Azev Type M 19" .

The Seats are Sparco Rev Plus 7.2KG each.

The engine is like already identified a opel/Vauxhall/Lotus one. Or at least the raw cylinderhead is. The rest is different and made by me.

I converted the read panel to 355 look. I used a stock 355 rear panel and new light bulbs and fitted it to the 348 rear. The only 348 things i left on are the mirrors, the side skirts and the rear hood.

Interesting project... I'm curious, why were you doing an engine swap? :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Your car is looking great, looking at the ride height you obviously don't have speed bumps where you are!
Interesting transplant, how much power will you have when running and mapped?

That would be my question--why the engine swap. Does not make sense to me but I'm sure you had a reason. What kind of HP do you have & what is the weight saving of using different powertrain?

What do you think your car is worth now?
