Thanks , your input shaft and TO Bearing make a good job :)

We only got speed bumps in very slow streets and the car isn't going to anywhere it has to be slow.

I did it because i'm used to high torque and hp output turbo engines from my job so the stock ferrari engine was just boring. So i swapped it to something i'm messing arround everyday. The engine setup is set up to twice the performance from the stock gts engine.
I didn't weight the car yet. I think the engine is a bit lighter then the stock 348gts engine but you have to think of the extra weight coming from the big turbocharger and intercooler but i stripped out some other details also to gain less weight like the much lighter seats, aloy footrest, cevlar carbon front and rear bumper, lighter 355 doorscoops, erased the AC unit and also the heating circuit with their radiators. Smaller battery. 355 Exhaust instead of heavier 348 exhaust + two cats. From what i through out and what i put in i calculated that the weight should be arround 1200kg dry. But i will messure it soon.

What the car is worth now , who cares. Every car i'm worked at and owned previeus i sold in pieces because that will give more money out of it. All together it is hard to find someone who will pay for those expansive parts all together. But on that car i don't think i will ever sell it :) For me its worth more than any other car in the world , because i put so many hours into it. And those scary moments when i pulled out the broken pieces from the gearbox .... :)

I'm from Germany. The direct neighbours house is stuck somewhere in the 70's or something like that but the others on the street are ok...

Today i tried a video with my i8910 mobile the picture itself is fine but the microfone can't handle the noise of the car it sounds just like a broken radio or snow in tv. But i will try again if i can get a real camera somewhere.

    @PAP , you've saved your neck 348+360 is permitted :)

I can confuse you even more because

    1. O2 Sensor is from Audi
    2. Intake Valves are from BMW M Gmbh
    3. Exhaust Valves are from Audi
    4. Throttle Valve from AMG Mercedes
    5. Plenum Chamber BMW M Gmbh
    6. Cylinderhead Opel Speedster Turbo
    7. Gearbox Ferrari 348
    8. Exhaust Ferrari 355
    9. Dry Sump Oil System SBD / Pace UK
    10. Con Rods Ferrari 360 Titanium Pankl
    11. Engine Block Opel Calibra Turbo
    12. Alternator Opel Corsa 1.2L :) nice and small :)
    13. Water and Oilcooler Ferrari 348

Get the best from every manufacturer and put it together works best normaly, but i've learned it isn't the fastest way to get it done if you do so, because somehow every part doesn't fit together in the first try.

But another problem the cooling ventilators didn't start. When do they normaly start? I cant find any info in the manual / repair doku. I got a water temperature of 104°C inside the cylinder head so i think there is a couple of °C less inside the watercoolers where the thermoswitch is located. But they should start somewhere arround that temperature? Because 104°C is a bit hot for just idling the engine.

That really is an impressive list of matched parts from all places. :D

When you start it, do you have to resist the urge scream maniacally?

I'd probably just go with it... the neighbours would think I was nuts.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I don't get it. Why would you build such a Frankenmonster? Why not just modify a 348 motor to make it more durable and then add a low boost Turbo?

    Hi,

i solved my radiator fan issue , the system was not bleeded correctly now the fan starts at arround 88-92°C. The oil radiator arround 105°C. Still now everything is sealed no leaks. I'm missing a thow hook so i'm a bit worried about a longer drivedistance but maybe today ill just try and hope everything works normal.

and to give the picture a voice ,

    Hehehe - excellent! :D

If a 'regular' Ferrari 348 could be said to sing like a soprano, then yours is most certainly Louis Armstrong: YouTube - Dream a Little Dream ;)

    All the best,
    Andrew.
