    The Ferrari factory had an automatic car wash very similar to that one for many years. All the cars went through it.

    I took a pic of a pre-production F40 (please note the foglights beside the license plate) during an event at Mugello racetrack. The owner told me that the car has a different gear ratio than the stock F40s as well as more boost. I'm sorry I didn't take the s/n.

    Just for clarification: the rear grille with fog-lights is available and can be retro-fitted to ANY F40, so that alone is not an indication of a pre-production car.

    Joe the famous 'Yellow 6' going through the car wash. Probably filmed in 1988. Did your guy ever confirm which serial number the '6' car was? I very much doubt it was 74049 which was mentioned below the video, there.

    After prototype duties, 74045 became a USA pre-production car, then an LM, then a GTE.
