Well gents, looks like the time has come. I just posted my 355 for sale. Although not too happy to part with it, I decided to move on to the 360. I found a real nice 2002 at Ferrari of Houston, but I will have to sell mine first.

That is great news, congrats. I can't believe you are letting go of the elegant 355, but the transition to the 360 should soften the sting.

I know Mike, I really do love the 355. I have not had one single issue with the car (except for a sticky throttle that was easily resolved) during my almost 2 years of ownership! But just wanted to move on.

First sorry to hear your selling the 355..:(
Second Congrats on the move up...:)

When I can swing it I'll be doing the same but it might take another year or two. By that time maybe I get swing a 430..:D

Say it ain't so! I don't see the benefit of upgrading from a 355 to a 360. As much as I hate to admit it, it is an upgrade as the 360 has a little more power and can change belts engine in. BUT...it's a small power upgrade, and the extra depreciation of the 360 cancels out the lower major cost (for now at least). Personally I would only look at a 430 or CS as a solid upgrade (saving my pennies now for a CS!)

you have a point BUT the 430 is still a good penny more than the 360... for someone who drive his Ferrari a lot the the comfortable ride and extra room of the 360 is a huge plus

You are right Jay, but to tell you the truth, It's more like what DonJuan348 stated, it's the inside, mainly the more modern inside and not the exterior looks or power. Although I believe the 360 is gorgeous, I still think the 355 looks better. As well, at this point, my 355 will not need a major until the end of 2012, and I do not want to sell it when it becomes a factor in the pricing.

By the way, I have a question for you guys, please let me know your opinion on what price would be a fair price to ask for the car based on the following:

    - 1997 355 Red/Tan Berlinetta stick shift
    - 29K Miles
    - Very Good condition interior and exterior
    - No sticky parts
    - No dash shrinkage
    - Built in K-40 radar
    - 6 CD remote changer
    - Major Service at Ferrari Dealership in Dec 2007
    - No oil leaks whatso ever
    - Outstanding engine performance with no valve or compression issues
    - Tires still have over 80% threading
    - Serviced at Ferrari dealership
    - Ice Cold Aircondition
    - New brake and ABS pump in 2005
    - New clutch at 25K miles
    - All books and records

Please let me know your opinion on a fair price.

I'd price it in the low 60's. Unfortunately, the market seems still isn't supporting much more than that. Sounds like a great car.

Good Luck on the sale Dean.

Your cars have always been exceptionally clean, I remember when you put your 348 for sale and I wanted to buy it so bad, But unfortunatley I wasn't ready at that time.

Can't wait to see the 360 you pick out.

    Cheers!

Thanks! There's a beautiful 02' at F of Houston! But can't get it till I sell this one. I would have traded it in but the shipping of mine down there and the 360 up here to Indiana will ruin any chance of getting it at a fair price.

That is what I am in the process of doing. I have found a good home for my 348, and I have found a great CS! If you haven't driven one, it is an extremely special car.
