    Headed to Maui next Wednesday 4/7/10. Been there once before. Staying in a house near Lahina. Any "must-not-miss" restaurant, leisure, beach, etc recommendations??? Playing golf at Kapalua and Kaanapali.

    I'm here on vacation now actually, check out Mama's fish house on the north shore past the airport. One of the best fish restaurants in the world IMHO. Reservations are probably recommended mamasfishhouse.com

    We're going for dinner tonight at a place called 'David Paul's in Lahaina that's supposed to be awesome too. Leaving tomorrow so I probably won't have a chance to give you a review.

    The weather on the south shore is beautiful, windy and odd rain on the north.

    Try checking out the Surfing Goat Dairy for some great cheeses. There is a nice Lavender farm nearby. This is upcountry Maui I believe. Take a drive from there to Makawao to the ocean if you want to really miss your favorite car/bike. I have heard good things about Mamas fish house too but didn't try yet.

    We had a lot of fun at Polli's in Makawao...

    Off the beaten path and Not ritzy at all.....

    +1 on Mama's Fish House - some awesome views of the sunset over the water. We were just there about 6 months ago - fantastic.
