    Looks like a great car!
    From a F dealer, 10k off at the most, esp now that it is spring

    if your friend wants a deal, then this is not it. He should buy from a private party or a consignment car and get an earlier model. If he wants a worry free experience, then this might be it - a F dealer and good warranty and try to get for 10k off

    The posters warning about depreciation will be along shortly, but I am sure that your friend is a big boy ...

    I would go 145-150 as an opening offer. No carbon ceramic brakes but overall a nice car.

    Nice. The asking price is a tad high, but not by much. If it could be had for 175, it would be a nice deal. 180 would certainly be fair. I agree, throw a lowball out there and see what happens. You never really know what they are into it for.

    I just bought an almost identical spec Nov '06 black/tan spider, same miles, private sale, only difference being ball polished wheels and I would say based on what I paid the price is $30-$40k high.

    I find the black/black a little dark but it's a lovely car and the light stitching breaks it up a little too.

    Based on my purchase of a Dec 07 form a dealer, I am thinking about the same. 172-175 (providing it IS in as good of condition as they say)

    With this being an 07 year, it does make a difference as to the month it was purchased. It may have one season or warranty, or two. I feel that adds 4-5k that something the dealers may have a harder time getting because many would look at an 07 it an 07.

    My 2007 red spider, three pedal, 2K miles and 227 MSRP is going to Ferrari Salt Lake City and asking 165K. This black spider seems high.

    If they will be asking 165. What are they giving you?

    They only show a f1 for 189

    Less options is better, IMO.....
