Calspeed Karting (Sunday, April 11th)

We'll be heading out early morning (April 11th) for a little karting fun. If you have a kart and would like to join us, we'd love to see you. If you don't have a kart and would like to rent one, let me know. They have a few for rent.

I may go to the Calfestival event, if so I'll stop by and check you guys out.

(I was there this past Sat covering the AMA bike races for a moto mag and it was so windy that the races were delayed for three hours. The whole day was nearly spent in the press room.)

Another fun day with weather that held. Great seeing some new faces out there with another person sucked into karting today. Jim, you're going to love it. Also good seeing Frances. Frances you did great, next time hang around and run my kart.

I wanted to send out a big thank you to G-Phactory. These guys loaned me a spare axle last week at my race, then took my kart back to their shop. The kart was straigtened, re-aligned and brought back to the track this morning so that I could run. Thank you to Preston and Adam for the exceptional service!

None!

 

Actually no damage in the sense you are thinking but Jessica lost her clutch. Cut her short day after only a half dozen laps.

All in all a great day! Perfect weather. Some fun stints. Finally got within a few hundreths of Jon on my last run. Ended at 53.3.

Jon, thanks again for setting it up for me I did actually enjoy it despite the very slippery start in the morning. I know that I would definitely enjoy it so much more if I tried your kart...maybe I'm just fighting the possibility of getting sucked in...LOL

Since I am "the one" who has been sucked in.........

It has been an incredible experience from everyone at the tracks. If you have a passion to drive this adds something special to that experience.
