I have the Backyard Buddy installed in my garage and it is a TERRIFIC lift. Very sturdy, very reliable, no issues. I use it to store a 66 Vette and I have no problems getting the car on the lift....for curiousity sake, I tried putting the Stradale on it. It doesn't have the clearance in that the front of the car will make it up the ramp and onto the treads but then I can only bring the car about half way up and then it hits at about the middle of the car...anyone have this issue?

We have put our Testarossa on there, and no problems.

I have also put my lowered GTI on the lift, and didnt scrape (its about 3.5" off the ground...)

Any pictures of the setup? (If you want me to get pictures of mine, I will.)

Well then it sounds like you normally use it right, put the car that works on it up top and drive the Ferrari more!

Or put some long pieces of lumber, perhaps 2x8 (one piece or more stacked) under the ramps and extending out far enough that the rear wheels will be on the extender when you reach the breakover point. You may find it helpful to so something like putting some velcro tape on the floor and the lumber to keep it from moving when you're trying to climb up onto it. Or perhaps they can back up to a part of the lift structure.

I also have a backyard buddy. I got the extended ramps when I bought it. So I have not had any problems with ground clearance getting onto the lift. Which ramps do you have, the originals or the extended ones?

Robert, they gave me the 36 inch ramps. Are there ramps longer than this? Thanks

ed, I think you solved the issue. the tires were flat and I had the hydraulic pumps on the front suspension beefed up so high that it was hitting in the back!! :)

    Joe,

I bought my lift several years ago and there were optional "longer" ramps back then. I just checked the web site and they no longer offer them. I don't know if all the ramps now are the "longer" or the "normal" ramps they use to have. I will measure my ramps, but it sounds like you already solved the problem. Now I am just curious about the ramp lengths.

Hey Joe - another option would be to buy a Scuderia, maybe it would fit better. Have you made any progress??

Ed, you are exactly right again. Since the CS didn't fit on the ramp, i decided to sell it! I will know today if my deal went through as I expect it to. News at 11
