Okay, so I’m not an avid viewer of this show. It comes across sort of hokey to me at times and can be a soap opera on the road more than anything. I just run into watching it every once in a while since my default is to turn the TV on and flip to Speed. Who would you like to see more than anyone on this show? Friend, fr-enemy, celebrity, F-Chat folks.

Well I hands down would get a kick out of this show if ROY was on it. Could you imagine?!! Roy would hit all the dirt road short cuts, tequila bars and have an elf riding shotgun. In fact Roy would be so good on the show they could make him a mainstay, sort of a Stig in a sense. Oh and his car would be laminated with Ferrari Chat graphics too. :)

Well alright, just been thinking about this and had to get it out there!

    Ciao’

One of our F-chat members was on the show for the first season, he has some good stories to tell about it.

The show is produced by Maloof TV...which is owned by George and Gavin Maloof, who own the Sacramento Kings as well as the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. I have sold them each a few Lambos and are pretty good friends. I also own two Condos in their building at the Palms Residence next to the Casino towers.

We have actualy spoke about this a few times...the problem is that the "damage" done to your car in some of the "challanges" are not worht the 5 minutes of Glory...however..it is in the works to use a "Lambo" I have...and then after the show use it as a Prop at the Casino for one of the "slot" machine instant win prizes..

So your wish may come true sooner than you think..

Or if you're interested in rallying (not being on tv and not trashing your car and not being subjected to wack detailing products)...

All right Roy! That sounds like a season I'd plug into the DVR. So maybe you could carry the Stig mystique by wearing a pink flamingo helmet with a tinted out visor. Very cool at any rate!! :) :)

Roy is very correct about this. My friend Jeff and I did the first season in his '03 40th Anniversary Murcielago (Roy sold him the car). We were told that there would only be normal wear and tear on the car. Then we get on the show and see the "challenges" to complete. Spikes strapped to the top of the car to break lights on the side of a school bus. Lights set up on a track which were wrapped in plastic/cellophane which we weren't supposed to drive around - but straight through them. There were scratches on many parts of the paint of the car and even the windshield when we were done with that stunt.

As many saw we hit a raccoon in Oregon and cracked the front bumper. Not a pretty sound at 60-70 mph. There was a stunt near San Francisco (cannot remember the name of the location) where we were supposed to follow a semi with a trailer that had 4 rubber mats attached to chains. Once you drove on the mat, it would come off the chain and you were supposed to slow down and then get another mat in a particular order. We previewed the stunt in a large van. When they did it, and got the mat, the chain hit the side of the van. It was not quiet. And to think what that could have done to the sides of a Murci. We didn't do the stunt and got tired of destroying the car.

I saw one episode this year were they had to drive on a dirt track. Bill and his brother Allen in the '05 Murci didn't have to drive on it. I don't think a dirt track is where you'd want to drive a Lambo.

Jeff and I did meet the Maloof's when we did a promo for the show at a Sacramento Kings game in March 2007. They are great guys - very classy. We had a blast in courtside seats and their skybox suite.

About the only Lambo I'd take on Bullrun if I were to do it again would be a LM002 (with a fuel cell) lol. Since one of the rules is that you cannot exceed speed limit, a fast car gets you pretty much nowhere. And a LM002 should be able to withstand a beating it might take in the challenges. It'd be interesting to see which one Roy is talking about using.

Yes, goldRush is a heck of a lot of fun!!!
