You're a lucky boy Chris! That is a fantastic looking machine! What are your thoughts on it? Compared to your 348?
I haven't driven an f1 shifter in a 355, 360 or 430. However, I did get up drive the latest transmission in the form of the dual clutch paddle shifter California. It is a pretty amazing transmission. Effortless, smooth power delivery. Very easy to keep yourself in the powerband and likely much safer in high speed driving compared to our manual gated shifters. The F1 shifting is a wonderful truly improved functional technological achievement that is welcome as competition for higher safer performance is desired in newer cars. I desire to have one someday. I want to be able to drive the f1 transmission in all of the above models to help quantify the differences. However, our manuals will grow in desirability for many enthusiasts, as the experience of heel-toe downshifting with throttle blip and powering out of a turn in a remote canyon, with Rush's " Red Barchetta" plays along in my head. This experience is priceless and forever will be. Remember that my friends.
Very nice VTC! Love the F1!!!!! No argument here on the old 3 pedal cars, they're fun to drive. But on a modern exotic I want the latest race technology...nothing like driving an F1 after watching the Monaco race
I've seen it . . it's a Sexy machine Chris. You're lucky. It has the new V7 8.9 liter twin cam super Crank in it correct? Need a pic of it in the sun.
What is going on here??? I am gone for a bit and 'limp wrist' sydrome starts running amock !!! ..... and another thing ............. will this be another ferrari that Chris will not drive ?? .... on the flip side .......... as long as Chris stays as cool as he already is ........ he has my congratulations ......... !! +355 .....................
TRAITOR!!! I love the 360. That's what my 348 wants to be when it grows up (but the grown up version will have 3 pedals and something tall to rest my hand on other than a toggle switch on the console).
Not yet, but eventually gonna do it. LOL Sexy V7 TT Twin cam LOL SillyLenny ..and a pic in the sun. LOFL You da man Goth Now I know what everyone has been talking about....DAMN!! Nah, not worried about that, I have Eugenio. I'm not in the world of paddles yet. This was just a taste test, and I freakin new I shouldn't have done it. I knew I would love it.
It's great fun a first..but you get board after a while. Its not as involving. It kinda seperates that one on one feeling you get when driving a sports car.
+1! That what I will do when the time comes I think. Keep the 348, get a 308 and get a newer Ferrari with an F1 I reckon. But we will see what happens.
Chris, I never even entertained the idea of an F1 360, but I can tell you that you got me very curious now with your posting!!! You should have never tried the F1 !!!!!
