    I have my 360/spyder 05' being delivered on Wednesday .( My 1st )
    I've had the 911's , SL 55 , vipers , vetts etc, but never a Ferrari.
I've always loved them just never seemed to have the right time/energy/$$$ to get one.
Just want to know '' Whats the coolest part ?''
    I've been drooling at them since I was 14 , now I'm 40 .
I feel like a kid before Christmas .
    Thanks in advance .....

Hitting the start button and hearing the engine come to life.

    That's one of my favorites.

    1. Overall fun factor
    2. Look
    3. Sound

I have own faster cars before, but nothing came close to the pure fun factor of driving a Ferrari

I have not driven a lot of the great cars before buying my 360, but the one thing about it that I love is: it is thrilling. Get the revs up, press on the gas, downshift, brake, turn in at the apex, it really gets your blood moving. Nothing like the other cars I have driven, audi BMW, Porsche. Often thought about them "great car, very competent" but the 360 creates thrills. Now I almost wrote a sarcastic post that would have gone something like this:

    1. Paying near sticker price for a four year old car only to watch it depreciate like a Gremlin in the years I owned it.

    2. Having an emotional response the first time you notice a rock chip or tree sap or a ball point pen mark. I nearly divorced my wife when she navigated at a rally (really fun for both of us) and I noticed she not only calculated my odometer error by ballpoint on the fly but made a mark on her side door liner.

    3. Having strangers believe that I do not know the value of a dollar. I have had a respected F-car shop tell me that the rear bumper has to be removed to instal a challenge grill. I later bought one from Ricambi and installed it myself for 1/4 the quoted price, and had a lot of fun doing it.

    4. Rarely, repairs take forever. I'm paying about sixty cents a second to own this prima dona and the dealer keeps it three or four weeks for some reason.

    5. The low milage cult. I can't say enough against this abotion. The cars are driven less than is good for them. Buyers think the fewer miles the better the car. Mine was five years old with five thousand miles. I was happy about that. Miles damage, a chip in the paint, worn seat bolsters, marks on the interrior, scrapes on the low front underside. At the same time, an engine run regularly is better than one not run unless the latter is put in proper storage. Tires not rolled have flat spots. Most engines get better for the first 60K miles or so, many F-car owners only see 10-20K of their car. Miles per gallon on my Toyota went up for the first sixty thousand miles driven. If you own one you will be tempted to put it under plastic and preserve it, for various invalid reasons.

    6. Your wife will hate it; your son will want you to promise to leave it to him. I thought women would appreciate an expensive sign of success like a Ferrari. She would rather you spent the money on custom suits and have you look expensive and sharp.

    7. Work on the car is insane expensive. I've always kept cars because the hit is in flipping. With F-cars many feel keeping them a short time under warranty or in low milage is best and they may be right. Every part is insane expensive. An ex-wife mad at you could total the car in ten minutes with a pocket knife. (Slit the two seats, the head liner and the dash, scratch four or five body panels, deeply scratch the headlight pods (thousand of dollers each and not rapairable, new only), puncture the gas tank through the aluminum near the filler and finally, mash the instrument pod or just bend where it meets the dash. The car wold cost more to repair than worth.

    8. If you park at Starbucks some stupid loser will dump their latte on you car.

Taking 45 minutes to get 15 gallons of gas.... (because everyone wants to visit with you)

    ... NOT!!

hahah, actually I do like sharing and visiting with people about the car...(especially when I can use it to motivate young kids to stay in school) but since I use it as my daily driver in nice weather, it can get a little overwhelming trying to be nice and visit with EVERY person that wants to take a look, take a picture, ask what you paid, ask if you want to race, ask if your company is hiring, etc..

Aside from that, it is an absolute blast! :)

I love just walking into my garage (as often as possible) and see my F430 sitting there... of course I love driving it more, but I do love to just look at it too.

Sitting in the coffee shop with it parked outside, sometimes my heart will actually start beating faster when I look out at it. I can't say that about any other cars I've owned. It could just be the coffee though.

I've had a 360F1 for just over a year and I still can't get over it.

The best part - just walking into the garage and seeing it and knowing I can drive it anytime.

Or.... having the driver side window down, dropping back to 2nd and hitting it - the engine noise from the drivers side intake is AWESOME.....

That noise was (almost) all the sales pitch I needed..

    Have fun!!!

you are so lucky to have left hand drive as the intake is on the left side. I have to roll down passenger side window to enjoy the intake sound.
My favorite part is the echo thru tunnels!

It cures the desire & longing of wanting one :)

... wait until you own one & sell it...the desire to own again is an aching in your heart.. Kind of like an addiction.
