Doubt I'll go, not feasible at the moment, but sorry to be a pain , but what cars will be there, what's in the museum?
Lots. Some of the best cars on the planet are there. They have multiple Pebble Beach winners. They have a lot of Zagato bodied cars and a Ferrari 250 TR. And...if you bought my book..you would have a complete list
I'm surprised at the lack of comment to to his thread. This is one of the world's greatest collections, housed in central Scottsdale and in the normal course, absolutely not accessible to the public. The Wellness Community fundraiser represents a rare chance to see something that is unique and certainly the best collection of race and road cars in the western USA. I am not affiliated with the fundraiser in any way, but I know the people involved with the museum and this is possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity.
For those interested in more details of the collection, the Vintage Motorsport Jan/Feb 2010 issue has a nice profile. In addition to the 1957 250TR, 1937 Maserati 6CM, 1933 Maserati 8CM, they hold one of the greatest Zagato bodied collections in the world including a 1950 Ferrari 166MM.
Yep. People were all asking how to see these wonderful cars now here's the chance of a lifetime. Great people and great charity. The Wheels Of Wellness event a month or so was pretty cool as well. I even hung out with Nerd for a while
I have already sent Nicole a reservation for 2. It's a great cause and a great venue, hope to see everyone there! If it doesn't fill up by the next C&C maybe we could do a banner to display with information about the fundraiser?
I would love to go, but it is right in the middle of my office hours. I really wanted to see the 166, since I got it for them!
So, the event is coming up and I was just curious who will be attending. I'll be writing an article about it for Examiner.com and will be there. Anyone else? Looking forward to meeting you all face to face.
Has anyone been here before? When I put the address into Mapquest it says that I am going to the Chyrsler/Jeep dealership on 64th Street and McDowell. Is that the right place?
Here is the link to my brief write up. Sorry I didn't get to meet any more from the board, but the name tags all had our real names on them, so I didn't know who was who. http://www.examiner.com/x-25756-European-Sports-Car-Examiner~y2010m4d23-Scottsdale-Auto-Museum--home-of-over-20-Zagato-bodied-sports-cars
