    I was naturally a bit worried when we decided to sell the Minivan (w/ sliding doors) and get a SUV - especially since the "Ferrari side" of Mommy's vehicle is the side my rather rambunctious 5 year old daughter sits.

    However, as you'll see in the pic, the door is all the way open and not a thing to worry about! The combination of how low the Ferrari is + how high the Lincoln is makes for perfect harmony in the garage. Made for each other!

    PS Plans for the Lincoln include towing the F355 to future track events. :D Any recommendations on a nice enclosed car trailer?

    There is a nice trailer for sale in FerrariAds.com. It is even painted red to match your car and has logos. Not sure if it is still there, just saw it a day ago for sale. Good luck!

    Well, the minivan predated the Ferrari purchase by 4 years but yeah I really liked the sliding doors factor given I obsess about my cars. Kids + car doors don't mix. :D

    Awesome, I had seen that a couple months ago but figured it was long gone. Thanks for the tip!

    I would suggest looking at Featherlite. I have a 20' enclosed Featherlite trailer I tow my (Alfa) race car to events with, and it has seen a couple of round-trips to Seattle (from SoCal). My tow vehicle (Infiniti QX56 SUV) will tow it all day at 70+ MPH, easily. Due to its aluminum construction it is easy to tow. I have had zero issues since purchased new some 5 years ago.

    Wow Rick, I cannot depend on the ol' lady parking the Benz SUV in the same exact place twice. That is too close for comfort IMHO. We have a piece of cardboard propped up against the mirror that protects the side of the 348 from an accidental 'door ding'. BTW, we are home PERMANENTLY so let's go for a drive soon.

    Featherlite is the best enclosed unit I second Jes's comments. but the lincoln has no power and the 355 is 3000lbs + your extra race tires + trailer. So tow with an open featherlite aluminum trailer and you will be much happier when you are coming home from buttonwillow up the grapevine. Are you interested in a ferrari drive to 1-2day trackday laguna seca in july?

    Definitely going to check out the Featherlites.

    Truth be told, I don't trust her on this one either. Will be placing some parking stops for her soon. Definitely let's get together for a drive soon.

    No disagreement on the Lincoln being down on power but with the 6 speed 5.4L V8 in Tow/Haul mode it is 'not bad'. In fact, I just got back from towing our 6,500 lb (dry) travel trailer to out past Julian (about 4,500 foot elevation) and back - along with 3 pax, a dog, and all of our 'stuff'. It's actually a fairly comptetant tow vehicle (mechanical twin to the Ford Expedition) and rated to tow 9,000 lbs. Anyway, I have to believe pulling the 355 in an enclosed lightweight trailer by myself will be a dream compared to the camping expeditions.

    Laguna Seca in July...sounds great. Let me know the details...
