    Do you have a copy of the major service? Was it performed by the same dealer who is selling the car?

    You will definitely want to get a leakdown and compression test on it.

    The dealer has the records of the major service on file (I'll ask that they send me that before purchasing). I'll ask for a 'leakdown' and compression test. I found a mechanic in Dallas, TX (RUF Auto) who advised the same.
    Thanks for the advice from a true rookie!

    Skip, welcome to fchat! The car looks nice and seems to be priced reasonably. Definitely do a PPI with both conpression and leakdown. If you aren't able to go up and view the car personally, you might post a "HELP" thread in the Illinois section and see if you can find someone locally to view the car and give you some unbiased feedback on it. I have some experience with FVMC, and I'm also from the Dallas area. I just sent you a PM with more info...
