Have fun, we will be at the start in Brescia and I think we will join some cars on the Futa pass.

Offtopic: what car are you looking for? antother VW?

Yes, it´s a HGTE, but with some carbon parts, which probably can be ordered on any 599 now. I also spotted a California with similar carbon parts - pics to follow.

    Ciao,

    Lars T.

Have fun too - maybe we meet by coincidence somewhere then :)

Offtopic: yes, I´m strongly considering the Passat CC (200 hp petrol) as my next car, very likely in white/cream-black and with the sporty R-Line package. I test drove one yesterday, very nice & comfortable cruiser with classy looks. I guess I might order it next week, when my dealer gives me a good trade-in price for my current R32 :)

Thanks for the pics Lars. Not a fan of the AN 599 HGTE though. Lines of the car are ruined by the CF parts. Do the complete roof line in CF and get rid of the CF side panels. Just my opinion.

By the way, I don't see any GTO parts on it other than the fact that the original parts were replaced with CF parts. The SF shields do look interesting.

By the way ... how is the spec of your new car coming along?

I fully agree on the CF parts ruining the lines of the silver HGTE. It would have looked spectacular with an all-black roof, but not this way. Oh well, it´s a factory-owned car, maybe they´re just experimenting with different possibilities.

The specs of my new car (CC) are almost final now (can post them if you like) and I´m just waiting to see what VW-Individual says to my request to get a quote to paint the car in an out-of-range colour (Deep Blue, the colour of my current R32). Maybe they reply tomorrow. If it´s impossible or toooo expensive, I´ll take the car in white with the cream-black interior. Let´s see what happens :)

    Ciao,

    Lars T.

Great pictures. I love threads like this. I was wondering if any Fchat member has ever seen there car drive out of the gates for it's final inspection before being shipped?

    Keep up the great photos.

    Cheers,
    James

OK... is it just me or do the latest batch of Ferraris (458, California) look really really good in white?

I didn't like white 360's or 430's... but these latest models actually look pretty darn good when painted white.

Not the complete car but a spotter posted pictures of the rear diffusor of my HGTE being driven to Zanassi for painting. How did I know it was mine? Timing was correct, colour special (Grigio Ferro Met) and the centre part of the diffusor in CF.
