as stated on my previous thread my right headlight lift has quit, I have been wanting to pull the bumper to fix a loose bracket, well now is the perfect time. I pulled the plastic pan in the front thinking I could get to the four bolts in front, but all I have is another pan which i belive to be the botton of the trunk, the wide panel in the fender wells were easy for access to the side bolts but how do I access the 4 bolts in the front to drop the bumper.

You need to open the trunk and then remove at least the top part of the trunk liner.

Yes regarding the carpet/trunk liner. Remove both of the metal side strips that are located half way up the sides of the boot. These are held in with x head screws. Then the front bit of the carpet has to be pulled forward so to reveal the cut outs located at the front corners of the boot. You will get two 17mm nuts and washers stacked vertically. There are a pair located on each side/inside the cutouts.
Make sure you separate the two electrical plugs from under the front of the bumper first.
Here's a very important tip that will save you allot of bother in the future when you replace the bumper. Make sure the spacers behind the bumpers are replaced the right way round so the towing eye hole is not blocked. It is very easy to replace them upside down;) Balls this up and my words will come back to haunt you while you are waiting for the flatbed truck by the road side;)

And your gratitude is warmly welcome, thankyou :)
The last "how to" i spent 15 minutes typing a detailed step by step on removing a door panel, without a word of thanks:( Manners cost nothing and to many rude buggers on here.
But you sir are welcome any time.
