    afternoon

I'm in the process of changing all 8 injectors on my car and find out, pulling the injectors, that bank 1 injectors were probably change at some point. Injectors are Bosch 0 437 502 047 and bank 2 as injectors labelled 0 407 502 010. Find attached pictures of both banks injectors. Of course I've ordered 047 version from AutohausAZ.

The funny thing is that bank 1 headers are glowing red, and the injectors are looking in much better shape than bank 2.

bank 1 : closer to the trunk.

Could the number on the injectors have change over the last 30 years ?

    Thanks
    Marc-André

4 are the old steel. 4 are the replacement brass. That is why the different number.

Injector nozzles are not why your manifold is glowing.

Tell me more, why is my manifold glowing red. Red as you can light up, 10 minutes idling?

Usually either cam timing or bad ignition box.
